We hear your cry for relief, and our hearts ache with yours in this time of deep suffering. The weight of pain can feel unbearable, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees you, He hears you, and He holds you in His hands. The psalmist cried out in distress, saying, *"My soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to Sheol"* (Psalm 88:3 WEB), yet even in that darkness, he turned to the Lord. You are doing the same, and that is a powerful act of faith.
First, we must address the words *"I WANT TO GO"* with great care and love. While we do not know the full depth of your struggle, we know that Scripture is clear: life is a sacred gift from God, and He alone holds the authority over it. *"The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord"* (Job 1:21 WEB). To take one’s own life is to reject God’s sovereignty and the purpose He has for you, even in suffering. We urge you, beloved, to cling to the hope that Christ offers, for He has overcome the world (John 16:33 WEB). Your life has value, and your story is not yet finished in God’s eyes.
We also want to gently remind you that true peace and comfort are found only in Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so now. Jesus said, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28 WEB). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you are already a believer, we encourage you to press into Him even more deeply, for He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is enduring such profound suffering. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 WEB). We ask that You would wrap Your arms around them in this moment, that they would feel Your presence like never before. Father, we rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that seeks to overwhelm them. In the name of Jesus, we command it to flee, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
Lord, we pray for supernatural peace to flood their heart and mind. Let them know that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in their life, reveal it to them so they may find freedom in Your forgiveness. If they have not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them with cords of love, that they may be saved (John 6:44 WEB).
We ask for tangible relief from their suffering, Lord. Whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual pain, we trust in Your power to heal and restore. Surround them with godly believers who can support and encourage them in their walk with You. Give them the strength to endure, knowing that this light and momentary affliction is working for them an eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17 WEB).
Above all, Father, we pray that they would fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). May they find their hope and identity in You alone. We declare that their life has purpose, and we trust You to use even this season of suffering for Your glory and their good (Romans 8:28 WEB).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we urge you to reach out to someone you trust—a pastor, a Christian friend, or a biblical counselor—who can walk alongside you in this time. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The enemy wants you to isolate, but God calls us to community. *"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up"* (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 WEB).
If you are struggling with thoughts of self-harm, please seek help immediately. Call a crisis hotline, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact a trusted believer who can support you. Your life matters to God, and it matters to us.
Remember, Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). He understands your pain, and He is with you in it. Hold on, dear one. The night may feel long, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5 WEB). We are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will meet you in your darkest hour and lead you into His marvelous light.
