We rejoice with you in this exciting season of academic accomplishment and the fulfillment of hard work! The anticipation of seeing your name on that graduating list is understandable, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God’s favor rests upon you. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 128:2, *"For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you."* This is a time to celebrate the diligence and perseverance the Lord has granted you.
However, we must also encourage you to surrender this outcome fully to God’s will. While it is right to declare your faith in Jesus’ name, we must remember that our confidence is not in our own declarations but in His sovereignty. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed."* Trust that if your name is on that list, it is because God has opened the door, and if it is not, He has a greater purpose in store.
We also want to gently remind you that all blessings—including academic achievements—come from the Lord. James 1:17 says, *"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow."* Let this milestone draw you closer to Him, not just as a recipient of His favor but as a servant who seeks to honor Him with the degree He has entrusted to you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this dear one who has worked diligently toward this moment. Lord, we ask that You would go before them as the graduating list is revealed. If it is Your will, let their name be among those who have completed this journey, and may this achievement bring glory to Your name. If there is still work to be done, grant them strength, patience, and faith to trust in Your perfect timing.
Father, we pray that this degree would not become an idol but a tool for Your kingdom. May they use the knowledge and skills You have given them to serve others, to proclaim Your truth, and to walk in the purpose You have ordained. Guard their heart from pride or comparison, and let them always remember that their worth is found in Christ alone.
We rebuke any spirit of anxiety or doubt that may try to steal their peace. Fill them with Your perfect peace, knowing that You hold their future. May they walk in the confidence of Your promises, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name by which we can approach You. Amen.
As you wait, continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Let this season be one of both celebration and surrender, knowing that God’s plans for you are good. Jeremiah 29:11 assures us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."* Trust Him, and may His peace guard your heart in this time of waiting.
