Suicide attempt still in ICU

Sparklee

Beloved of All
Father please draw young woman to salvation as John 6:44, please heal her body, mind, soul and spirit. Protect her from dark forces and the lies of the enemy that have tried to steal her very life. Please remove those who would cause further harm to her. Please use what has happened to bring her a new beginning in You in Jesus Name Amen

We join with you in lifting up this precious young woman before the throne of grace and we agree together for her complete healing and salvation in Jesus' name. Our hearts are grieved to hear that she is still in the ICU after attempting to take her own life, yet we thank God that He is still holding her and that He has allowed intercessors like you to stand in the gap for her.

We know that life is a gift from God and that He alone is the author of life. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus said I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly in John 10:10. What has happened is not the will of our Father, who loves her more deeply than we can comprehend. He sees her pain, her despair, and the lies that have tormented her mind, and He draws near to those who are broken.

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit in Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We cling to your chosen verse that no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him in John 6:44, and we ask the Father even now to draw her by His Spirit, to open her eyes to His love and to the hope that is found only in Jesus Christ.

We also take comfort that in Christ, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new in 2 Corinthians 5:17. We pray that what the enemy meant for destruction, God will redeem for a new beginning, a testimony of His mercy and restoring power.

We pray together for her now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and we lift this young woman to You. Lord, You know her name, You formed her, and You have numbered her days. We ask that You lay Your healing hand upon her body in the ICU, that You would stabilize her, restore what has been damaged, and breathe life into her again. Heal her mind, her soul and her spirit, Father. Silence the lies of the enemy and let her hear Your voice of truth and love. We rebuke the dark forces that have sought to steal her life and we ask You to place a hedge of protection around her, commanding every evil influence to flee in Jesus' name. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in Ephesians 6:12, and we submit to You and resist the devil knowing he will flee from us in James 4:7. Remove from her life any person or influence that would cause her further harm and surround her instead with godly, loving, and wise people who will speak life and point her to You. Draw her to salvation, Father, grant her repentance and faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, that she may be saved, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. Give her a new heart and a new spirit and make her a new creation in Christ. Comfort her family and all who love her, and give wisdom to the doctors and nurses caring for her. Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, for we know that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God's love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord in Romans 8:38-39. We ask that You will use this very trial to bring forth a powerful testimony of Your grace, that she may live to declare Your goodness and hope to others who are hurting. We entrust her fully into Your merciful hands and we thank You that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to contend for her in prayer and to ensure she has ongoing loving support, pastoral care and professional help as she recovers. God is able to heal and restore even the most shattered heart. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness in Isaiah 41:10. We will keep standing with you for her complete restoration and for her to come to know the joy of salvation in Jesus.

We are joining you in prayer for this young woman in the ICU and for you as you wait and intercede for her. We hear your love for her and your longing for her to know Jesus and to have healing in every part of her life, and we are bringing those deep desires before the Lord with you.

While the medical team cares for her body, it can help to stay closely connected with them and with the hospital chaplain or pastoral care team if one is available. If you are able, gather two or three trusted people to share the vigil with you, so you can rest, eat and pray without carrying this alone. You do not have to have answers right now, just faithful presence and prayer.

Father, we lift this young woman to You in Jesus name. Draw her close to Yourself, guard her mind and heart from lies and darkness, and bring healing to her body, mind and spirit according to Your mercy. Give wisdom to those caring for her, surround her with safe and caring people, and lead her into new life and hope in You. Comfort and strengthen those who love her in these hard hours. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for this young woman lying in the ICU has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. How heavy is such a burden, and how merciful is the Lord who invites us to cast all our care upon Him, for He cares for us.

We are reminded that deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. No pit is so deep that His arm is shortened, and no soul so far gone that His grace cannot reach it. The Scripture declares that no man can come to Christ except the Father which hath sent Him draw him, and you have prayed rightly according to John 6:44. It is God who finds the ransom, it is God who provides the deliverance, for nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it. The King's own Son has borne the penalty, and there is therefore a way of undeserved deliverance provided for those who feel they are going down to the pit.

We preach over and over again the plain Gospel of salvation by Divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus. The way of salvation is to believe on Him, to trust in Him, to look unto Him and be saved, for He hath said, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. It is not a long journey, it is a look, and that look does not require a moment. We pray that the Father will graciously draw her by His Spirit, open her eyes to see Christ as He is, and enable her to look unto Him and live. May she be brought to unquestioning confidence in Him for her present and eternal salvation, for whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

You have asked for healing of body, mind, soul and spirit, and for protection from dark forces and the lies of the enemy. We take comfort that our Lord Jesus Christ is that true tree of life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. Not only His fruit but the very leaves, the least things about Christ, are full of healing virtue, and they change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Oh that the Sun of Righteousness would rise with healing beneath His wings upon this dear soul who now sits in the midnight of despair. When Jesus healed the sick, pardon and healing were one, and the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure. We ask the Lord to lay His pardoning and healing hand upon her, to restore her body under the care of those physicians who attend her, to quiet her troubled mind, and to heal her soul by His forgiving grace.

We join you in praying that the Lord would guard her from the adversary who seeks to steal and destroy, and that He would remove from her path any influence that would cause further harm, and surround her with those who will speak truth and show the love of Christ. We pray also that what has happened, grievous as it is, may by the overruling mercy of God become the occasion of a new beginning in Christ, that she may be brought forth as Israel was brought forth out of Egypt, and that her deliverance may be attended with enrichment, with wells of salvation out of which she may joyfully draw living water, even fellowship with Jesus wrought in her by the Spirit.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this young woman. Draw her unto Thyself, save her by Thy grace through faith in Thy Son, forgive her sins and give her a new heart. Lay Thy healing hand upon her body, her mind and her spirit, and rebuke every dark power that assails her. Keep her in Thy perfect protection, place faithful and godly helpers around her, and let this affliction be turned for her eternal good, that she may rise to newness of life in Christ Jesus. Strengthen those who watch and pray beside her, and give them wisdom to seek for her all needful medical and pastoral care and continual support. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and our great Deliverance. Amen.

Continue to wait upon the Lord in prayer, to plead the promises, and to ensure she is not left without tender care, wise counsel and the constant ministry of the Word when she is able to receive it. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and He will not despise the cry of those who look unto Him.
