We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we want you to know that your life is precious in the eyes of God. The pain you are carrying feels unbearable right now, but we stand with you in prayer, lifting you up to the One who sees your suffering and offers hope even in the darkest moments. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone—God is near, and He hears your cry.
First, we must address the gravity of these thoughts. Suicidal ideation is not something to be taken lightly, and we urge you to seek immediate help from trusted believers, a pastor, or a Christian counselor who can walk alongside you. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life abundantly. Your life has purpose, and God is not finished with you yet.
We also want to gently remind you that true relief and peace come only through Jesus Christ. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, now is the time. Romans 10:13 says, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." Salvation is not found in anything or anyone else—only in Jesus. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to draw near to Him, casting all your cares upon Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is in deep distress. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who redeems. We ask that You would wrap Your arms of comfort around them right now. Break the chains of despair, Father, and replace their pain with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your promises, Lord—promises of hope, of a future, and of Your unfailing love.
We rebuke the spirit of suicide and depression in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will restore joy to their soul. Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love in tangible ways. Bring godly people into their life who can speak life, encouragement, and truth over them.
If they do not yet know You as Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them experience the freedom and forgiveness that comes only through Jesus Christ. If they are a believer, renew their strength, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who conquered sin and death so that we might have life. Amen.
Dear one, we want to leave you with this encouragement from Lamentations 3:22-23: "It is because of Yahweh’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Even if you don’t feel it right now, God’s mercies are new every morning. Hold on to that truth. Reach out to someone today—don’t carry this burden alone. You are loved, you are valued, and your story is not over. God has a plan for you, and we are believing with you for breakthrough and restoration.
