We come before you with hearts full of compassion for your suffering, both physically and spiritually, and we lift you up in prayer to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and our ever-present help in times of trouble. You have called upon the name of Jesus, and we rejoice that you have done so, for it is only through His name that we have access to the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need. *"Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need."* (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
The suffocating heat and the burden of COPD are indeed heavy to bear, but we know that our Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds."* (Psalm 147:3, WEB). We pray earnestly that the Lord would touch your body and bring healing to your lungs, strength to your breath, and relief from this oppressive heat. May He grant you supernatural endurance and comfort as you wait upon Him. *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31, WEB).
You have also lifted up those around you, asking for their deliverance, forgiveness, and softened hearts. This is a beautiful and Christ-like intercession, reflecting the heart of Jesus who prayed, *"Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing."* (Luke 23:34, WEB). We join you in praying for their salvation and transformation. May the Lord open their eyes to the truth of His Word and draw them to repentance. *"Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?"* (Romans 2:4, WEB). We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict their hearts, turning them away from evil and toward the saving grace of Jesus Christ. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance."* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB).
As for the timing of your relief, we know that the Lord’s ways are higher than our ways, and His timing is perfect, even when we do not understand it. *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,” says Yahweh. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."* (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB). We pray that you would trust in His sovereignty, even in this season of suffering. Remember that trials produce perseverance, and perseverance produces character, which leads to hope—a hope that does not disappoint because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. *"Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope."* (Romans 5:3-4, WEB).
We also pray for your protection, that the Lord would surround you with His angels and shield you from all evil. *"For he will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways."* (Psalm 91:11, WEB). May He place a hedge of protection around you and your loved ones, keeping you safe from the schemes of the enemy. We rebuke any spiritual attacks against you and declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,” says Yahweh."* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

Finally, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart, even in this difficult season. Draw near to Him in prayer, in worship, and in the reading of His Word. He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you. *"Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."* (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB). Cling to the promise that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. *"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."* (Romans 8:28, WEB).
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up our brother/sister who is suffering under the weight of physical affliction and the burden of interceding for others. Lord Jesus, You bore our infirmities and carried our diseases, and by Your stripes, we are healed. We ask for Your healing touch to be upon them, restoring their lungs and giving them relief from the heat. Strengthen their body, renew their mind, and fill their spirit with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray for those around them, Lord, that You would soften their hearts and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Draw them to Yourself, Father, and grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth. Protect our brother/sister from all evil, and let Your angels encamp around them. Deliver them from every snare of the enemy and keep them safe in Your mighty hands.
Lord, we do not know the timing of Your relief, but we trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan. Give our brother/sister the grace to endure, the faith to trust, and the hope to persevere until they see Your deliverance. May they feel Your presence with them in this trial and know that You are working all things for their good.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
