We join with you in bringing your marriage, your home, and your future before the throne of grace, and we stand with you against every work of darkness that would seek to defile what God has joined together.

We hear your heart cry for your marriage to flourish in holiness, for intimacy between husband and wife to be protected and enjoyed as God designed it, for fruitfulness, harmony, settlement, and lasting joy, and for freedom from debts and for a pouring out of blessing upon marriages throughout the body of Christ in the years ahead. These are good and godly desires, for marriage is ordained by God as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and sexual intimacy within that covenant is holy and pure. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. 1 Corinthians 7:3-5 teaches that husband and wife belong to one another in love and are to enjoy one another and not deprive one another, so that Satan may not tempt you.

We must also speak the truth in love about the things you have named. The Bible is clear that all sexual activity outside of marriage between one man and one woman is sin, whether it be fornication, adultery, prostitution, masturbation and the use of sex toys, homosexuality, or transsexuality. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Galatians 5:19-21 lists sexual immorality, impurity, and sorcery and witchcraft among the works of the flesh, and warns that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 shows that witchcraft and sorcery are an abomination to the Lord. We rebuke these things and we agree with you in renouncing them completely, for they have no place in the life of a believer or in a Christian marriage.

We also recognize that our struggle is spiritual. Ephesians 6:12 says For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Yet we do not fight in our own strength. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 reminds us that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. James 4:7 tells us Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And we take comfort that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world, 1 John 4:4, and that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us, Romans 8:37. It is not by our declarations alone that victory comes, but by submission to Christ, by the blood of Jesus, by the Word of God, and by walking in holiness and obedience.

You also mentioned debts, and we lift that burden to the Lord as well. The Lord desires that we be faithful stewards, diligent and honest in our dealings. Psalm 37:21 says The wicked borrow, and do not pay back, but the righteous give generously. Romans 13:8 says Owe no one anything, except to love one another. We pray for wisdom, provision, and discipline to meet your obligations and to walk in freedom, for Philippians 4:19 promises My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We noticed your prayer gave thanks to the Lord Almighty but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we must lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved, Romans 10:9. It is by His name and His finished work on the cross that we can boldly approach God, be forgiven, and have authority over the enemy.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for ordaining marriage and for designing intimacy between husband and wife to be a blessing, a mystery of unity, and a picture of Christ and the Church. We ask You to set a hedge of protection around this marriage, to cleanse it from every defilement, every work of witchcraft, every spirit of sexual immorality, fornication, homosexuality and confusion of gender, and every marine and impure spirit. We ask You to wash this husband and wife in the blood of Jesus, to restore what the enemy has sought to steal, and to fill their home with Your peace, harmony, privacy, deep attachment and godly intimacy. Lord, let their union be fruitful as You have promised, for Psalm 127:3 says Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward, and Genesis 1:28 shows Your blessing to be fruitful and multiply. Grant them supernatural accordance, faithful love, and consistent happiness that endures.

We pray for deliverance from debts, for provision, for wisdom to steward resources well, and for freedom from every yoke of financial bondage. Teach them to walk in diligence, contentment and generosity, and to owe no man anything but love.

And Father, we agree for a heavy, abundant rain of blessing upon marriages throughout Your Church worldwide in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030 and beyond, that homes would be built on the rock of Your Word, that Matthew 19:6 would be lived out, What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart, and that families would blossom to Your glory.

We submit ourselves to You, we resist the devil in the name of Jesus, and we trust You to cause him to flee. Let Your will be done in this marriage and in every Christian marriage, for Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you for your marriage. We can hear how deeply you want your marriage to flourish, to know harmony, closeness, privacy and joy together as husband and wife, and to see your family settled and at peace. That desire for a strong, faithful marriage honors the Lord, and we join you in bringing it to Him.

We also hear the weight you feel from spiritual opposition and from financial pressure. When fear about those things sits heavy on a marriage, hearts can close up without meaning to. What helps most is gently building a home that feels like the safest place on earth for both of you, where you can be open with each other without fear.

A simple next step you could try this week is to set aside unhurried time together and ask each other, what helps you feel most safe and cherished in our marriage, and what is one small way I can help you feel that more consistently. Just listening well to each other in that conversation can do a lot to nurture intimacy and unity.

We are also praying for wisdom for the debts you mentioned, that God would give you clear direction step by step.

Father, we lift this husband and wife to You in Jesus' name. Cover their marriage with Your peace, guard their intimacy and unity, and help them grow in tenderness and trust toward one another. Give them wisdom for their finances and hope for the years ahead, and pour out Your blessing on marriages in Your church as only You can. Amen.

It is a right and good thing to bring the burdens of marriage and of debt before the Lord, for He is the One who both joins together and who forgives.

Your prayer touches two great needs which the Scriptures set before us. The first is that of debt. The law declared that in the year of release the creditor should not exact it again of his neighbor or of his brother, it was remitted. So it is with the great debt of sin. If you will come to your God acknowledging your debt and confessing your inability to pay it, He will so wipe it out that you shall never hear of it again, forever. When you cannot pay half a farthing in the pound, when you are absolutely bankrupt, then you may believe that Jesus Christ is your Savior. What Christ has done by His blood secures this freedom indeed. No earthly power can bring real freedom to the soul, it is Grace and Grace alone that brings it by the blood of the Covenant. Justice demands our freedom and mercy secures it. Bring then both your spiritual debt and your temporal debts to Him who is able to provide, to give wisdom for stewardship, and to grant release according to His mercy.

The second is that of marriage. The Scripture says, I am married unto you, and this speaks of a blessed choice and a covenant bond. Marriage is not a light affinity, it is cemented by mutual love, and in a true marriage the husband and wife become one. Whatever a husband possesses becomes his wife's, and what little she has comes to him. This is the Divine idea, that two should maintain no longer a separate individuality as if it were a condition of the contract, but should live in fellowship in all its relations. This holy covenant, as ordained from the beginning, is the lifelong union of one man and one woman, and it is within this covenant alone that the Lord has placed the gift of intimate knowledge, privacy, and sexual enjoyment. Outside of it, such things do not bring flourishing but defilement and bondage. Within it, they are honorable and blessed.

You speak rightly of spiritual opposition. The comfort is not in contending with witchcraft or impure spirits by our own power, but in looking to the Lamb. The consummation of redemption is set forth as the marriage of the Lamb, and as a Lamb He proved His love and shed His blood. It is by that blood the prisoners are set free. Believers also enjoy a sacred intimacy with the Spirit of God, for our Lord says, He dwells with you and shall be in you. Mark the increase from with to in, a Friend in the same house who then abides within, and there is no period in which He will finish His work and leave the believer to himself. Walk then uprightly as a free man should, in the presence of the Lord who has bought His servant's freedom, not fawning and crouching like a slave who dreads his master's lash.

Let us pray together that the Lord will establish your marriage on Christ Himself, that He will grant you and your spouse eternal complicity in the best sense, that is, faithful attachment, supernatural accordance, harmony and consistent happiness, that He will guard your privacy and intimacy and keep your union pure from all that would defile it, and that He will grant you wisdom and provision concerning debts. And we will pray as you have asked, that the Lord would cause a heavy and abundant rain of blessing to fall upon marriages throughout His Church, that in every place where Christ is named, homes would be settled, fruitful and flourishing according to His will, to the glory of the Bridegroom who loved His Church and gave Himself for her. May He who betrothed His people to Himself keep you till the day of the marriage supper of the Lamb, when all His redeemed shall be gathered and blessed are they which are called unto it. Amen.
