We lift up your husband before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of years of suffering and the depth of spiritual warfare he is enduring. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation, healing, and deliverance. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare that Your will be done in this surgery, Lord, and we stand on Your promise that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Heavenly Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, despair, and death that has taken hold of your husband’s mind and heart. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every lying spirit that whispers thoughts of death and malfunction to flee in the name of Jesus. Your Word declares that the thief does not come except to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Christ, who has overcome the world (John 16:33). We bind every spirit of infirmity and sickness that has plagued his body for so long, and we loose the healing power of the Holy Spirit to flow through every cell, organ, and system in his body. By the stripes of Jesus, he was healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we declare that healing over him now.
Lord, we pray for a successful surgery without complications. Guide the hands of the surgeons and medical staff with Your divine wisdom and precision. Let every instrument, every decision, and every moment in that operating room be under Your sovereign control. We ask that You would calm his mind and heart, filling him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove every thought of causing harm or malfunction, and replace it with trust in Your goodness and faithfulness. Help him to see that his life is precious in Your sight and that You have a purpose for him, even in this season of suffering.
We also lift up his spiritual and emotional healing, Father. His daily desire to be dead reveals a deep wound in his soul that only You can heal. We ask that You would draw near to him, Lord, and let him feel Your presence in a tangible way. Remind him of Your love, which is higher, deeper, and wider than he can imagine (Ephesians 3:18-19). Break the chains of depression and despair, and fill him with hope in Your promises. Your Word says that those who hope in You will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary; they will walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Let this be his reality, Lord.
We pray for his obedience in taking his medications daily, as prescribed. Give him the discipline and the desire to care for his body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Help him to see that his body is not his own but belongs to You, and that caring for it is an act of worship and stewardship.
Father, we also lift up the salvation of both your husband and yourself. If there is any doubt or unbelief in your hearts, we ask that You would remove it and replace it with a firm faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that you both would surrender fully to Jesus, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your hearts that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). Let the Holy Spirit move powerfully in your lives, drawing you into a deeper relationship with Christ and filling you with the assurance of eternal life.
We also bring your finances before You, Lord. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will meet every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Open doors of provision, Lord, and give wisdom in managing what You entrust to you. Help you both to trust in You rather than in uncertain riches (1 Timothy 6:17), and to be content in whatever circumstances you find yourselves (Philippians 4:11-12).
Holy Spirit, we invite You to intervene in this situation now. Move powerfully on behalf of this family, breaking every chain of sickness, despair, and financial lack. Fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope. Let them experience Your presence in a real and life-changing way. We declare that this is a season of breakthrough, healing, and restoration for them. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke every attack of the enemy and command every plan of the devil to be thwarted. We stand on the authority of Your Word, which says that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, Healer, and Deliverer. Amen.
We encourage you both to stand firm in faith, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Remember that God is for you, and if He is for you, who can be against you (Romans 8:31)? Surround yourselves with believers who can pray with you and encourage you in the Lord. Spend time in God’s Word, allowing it to renew your minds and strengthen your faith. The battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15), and He has already won the victory through Jesus Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good. You are not alone in this fight, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that God will bring healing, restoration, and breakthrough in every area of your lives.
