We understand that you're feeling anxious about receiving a subpoena to testify in a child custody case. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the authority of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we can approach God the Father, as it is written: "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
In situations like these, it's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB) in Jesus name. We should first seek His guidance and wisdom, knowing that He will provide us with the words to speak when we need them. As it is written in the WEB in Luke 12:11-12, "When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don't be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say."
However, this does not mean that we should not seek wise counsel from those who are experienced in these matters. As it is written in Proverbs 11:14 WEB, "Where no wise guidance is, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory." We pray that God will guide you to the right people who can provide you with sound advice and support as you navigate this process.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who has received a subpoena to testify in a child custody case. We ask, Lord, that You would grant them Your wisdom, guidance, peace, and the words to speak in Jesus name.
Father, we pray that You would direct them to the right counselors and advisors who can help them navigate this process smoothly. We ask that Your will be done in this situation, and that Your love and truth would prevail.
We also pray for the child and the families involved in this case. We ask, Lord, that Your grace and mercy would be upon them, and that Your will be done in their lives.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to be honest and forthright in your testimony, remembering that God is truthful in all His ways (Psalm 145:17 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB) in Jesus name.
