Stumbling blocks and temptations to test my validity on the word of God and I need prayer support

We have heard your request for prayer support concerning stumbling blocks and temptations that seem to test the validity of the Word of God in your life, and we stand with you in this struggle together before the Lord.

We want to encourage you that what you are experiencing is not uncommon and the Word of God itself speaks directly to it. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13. God does not tempt us to sin, but He does allow testing to refine our faith and to prove that His Word is true and trustworthy. Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. 1 James 1:12. Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Proverbs 30:5 and As for God, his way is perfect. Yahweh's word is tried. He is a shield to all those who take refuge in him. Psalm 18:30. The validity of the Word does not depend on our feelings in temptation, the Word itself is already tried and proven true.

The enemy will use stumbling blocks to make you doubt, to make you stumble, and to draw you away from obedience. Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8. We rebuke that work of the enemy in your life and we urge you to resist him. Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7. Part of resisting is being rooted in the Word. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 and Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalm 119:105. We encourage you to watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41, to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11, and to stay in fellowship with other believers who can help bear your burden and keep you accountable.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and power over temptation. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and given the Holy Spirit to overcome sin. If you have not already, we encourage you to call upon His name in faith, for the Word says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9.

We pray together for you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is facing stumbling blocks and temptations. We ask that You make the way of escape clear and give strength to endure and to choose righteousness. Remove the stumbling blocks from the path and give discernment to recognize the schemes of the enemy. Fill the heart with love for Your Word and help to hide it deep within, so that it will be a lamp and a shield in every moment of testing. Strengthen faith where there is doubt about the validity of Your Word, and remind this one that Your Word is flawless, perfect, and eternal. Forgive any sin, cleanse from all unrighteousness, and fill with Your Holy Spirit to walk in victory. Help to watch and pray daily, to put on the full armor of God, and to stand firm. We ask that You will turn this time of testing into a testimony of Your faithfulness, and that the crown of life will be the hope that sustains. We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We appreciate you reaching out so honestly about the stumbling blocks you are facing. Wanting to stand firm on God's word while feeling tested and tempted can be discouraging, and it takes humility to ask for prayer support instead of trying to push through alone.

One thing we have seen help many believers in this kind of struggle is not carrying it in isolation. Temptation grows stronger when we keep it to ourselves, and it loses some of its power when we bring it into the light with a couple of trusted people. That does not have to be a large group. Even one or two mature, same gender friends or a pastor who can check in regularly, ask honest questions and pray with you makes a real difference.

It can also help to notice ahead of time when you feel most vulnerable, whether that is certain times of day, stress, boredom or being alone, and make a simple plan while you are clear headed for what you will do instead in that moment, who you will call or where you will turn.

We are standing with you in this.

Father, we bring our friend before You and ask for Your strength and wisdom in each moment of temptation. Guard his heart, give clarity to recognize the stumbling blocks early, and surround him with faithful support. Help him to know Your nearness and to walk step by step in Your grace. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a needful and humble request you have brought before the Lord, and we count it a privilege to bear you up in prayer before the throne of grace.

There is a precious word for such a season as yours, Now unto Him that is able to guard you from stumbling. It is the wise God, as well as the strong God, who keeps His people. He knows where the stumbling stones lie and where your weakness is, and He is able to bring you safely through. You are not kept by the strength of your own hold upon the Word, but by His gracious hold upon you. If you were left to yourself you would utterly depart from the faith, but His guardian care preserves you from falling away.

Temptation in itself is a thing very dangerous, and therefore our Lord has taught us to pray daily, Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. All temptation is trial from God, yet there is more than trial in it, for the enemy seeks to use it for your harm. It is right to pray that the Lord would temper the wind to the shorn lamb and not put the little boat upon the rough billows. And he who prays that prayer must also watch that he does not willingly walk into temptation. To pray for keeping and then to run into the place of peril is to be false before God. Seek by grace to keep clear of the occasions of stumbling, and ask the Lord to withdraw you from them in His providence.

You speak of your validity upon the Word of God being tested. Remember that the Cross of Christ, which is a stumbling stone to the ungodly and to mere professors, is to the believer the rock of refuge and the pillar of hope. You will not be confounded if your faith, though it be little, is truly fixed upon Him. Little faith is still true faith. It is not the littleness that saves, but the faith itself, for the least faith in Jesus is the gift of God and is like precious faith. It may be as a grain of mustard seed, yet it is born from above and belongs to the family of the saved. Its essence lies in dropping down into the arms of Christ, trusting Him alone to bear you. All your doubts and fears shall not damn you, for faith will prevail when it looks to Jesus.

Faith and humility should always walk together. Nothing makes a man so strong, with the exception of faith, as humility, and even faith itself cannot be strong where humility is weak. Own your weakness before the Lord, and then look to Him who is able to guard you.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would guard you from stumbling as to doctrine and in life, that He would keep your feet from the hidden stones, that He would lead you not into temptation but deliver you from evil, that He would increase your faith and make it to rest wholly upon Christ, and that your hope might be found in God who raised Christ from the dead and gave Him glory. May He shine into your heart, that you may welcome the spirituality of His Word and not stumble at it, and may He keep you till you stand without blemish before His glory with exceeding joy. Amen.
