We join you in lifting up this precious student before the Lord, and we share your concern as one who cares deeply for his well being and his growth. We know how heavy it can feel when a child entrusted to your care is absent and the parents are not responding, and we thank God for your faithful heart to see him return safely and continue learning.
We are reminded that God sees and cares for every child, and that He is our keeper and protector. As it is written, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. Psalm 121:7-8. Jesus Himself showed His heart for children when He said, Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Matthew 19:14. We also take comfort in the promise to Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6, knowing that the days he spends learning and growing are not wasted in God's eyes.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by putting our faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are reconciled to God and can come boldly before His throne. We pray you know this hope personally.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this young student to You. Lord, You know where he is and You see his family. We ask that You place Your hand of protection over him, that You keep him safe from harm, and that You bring him back safely to school in Your perfect timing. We pray for his parents, that You would prompt them to respond and to communicate, and that You would give them wisdom and care for their child's needs. We pray for this teacher who is carrying this burden, grant peace that surpasses understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7, and guard this heart from anxiety while waiting. Father, we ask that this child's return would be for his good, that he would continue to grow in knowledge and wisdom and that his learning would be used for Your glory. Give wisdom to the school staff to know the right next steps in love and diligence, and help them to follow proper procedures to ensure his welfare while trusting You. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to entrust this situation to the Lord while also being diligent in the practical steps God has placed before you. Continue to document your attempts to reach the family, keep your school administration informed, and follow your school's protocols for extended absences and wellness checks. God often works through those orderly means to protect children. Cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We also know that God works all things together for good for those who love Him. Romans 8:28, even when we are waiting without answers. Keep praying for this child by name, that God would draw his family closer to Himself and that his education would be a foundation for a life that honors God. We are standing with you in prayer for his safe return.
