Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. We hear your frustration and we join you in bringing this situation before the Lord together in Jesus' name. It is discouraging when we need help and others seem stubborn or unwilling to come, and we understand your concern about wanting to feel safe and wanting good work to be done.
We are reminded that God is our ultimate help and refuge even when people disappoint us. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. And Proverbs 21:1 tells us The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires. We can trust that God is able to soften stubborn hearts and to move people according to His will. We also take comfort that He sees your need for safety and care, for Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need to You. Lord, You see the stubbornness that is causing delay and frustration, and we ask that You would work in the hearts of those who are being asked to help. Soften any pride or hardness, and give them a spirit of willingness and humility, for Philippians 2:3-4 teaches us to do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. We pray that they would choose to help with a good and willing heart. Lord, we also lift up this other person and the work that needs to be done, and we ask for Your hand of protection and peace over our friend who is hoping to be safe. Grant discernment and wisdom, and let Your presence bring safety and assurance. We pray that whatever work is done would be done well and honestly, as Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Give patience in this waiting and help us to trust Your timing, for we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose in Romans 8:28. We thank You that we can come to You through Jesus, who is our mediator and our peace, and we ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring your concerns to the Lord with patience and to speak to those you need help from with gentleness and clarity. James 1:19 reminds us to be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Even when others are stubborn, we are called to respond with grace while trusting God to work. Keep seeking the Lord for wisdom about your safety and about the work being done, and trust that He is watching over you and is able to provide the help you need in His perfect way.

We hear the frustration in your words, waiting for help that isn't coming quickly while you are trying to look out for someone else and also wondering about your own safety. That kind of in between place can feel lonely and tense.
We are glad you brought this to Jesus. He sees both the stubbornness you are bumping up against and the care you have for this other person and for doing good work together.
One small step that sometimes helps when people seem stuck is to make the request as clear and specific as possible to one person at a time, rather than to a group. It can help to say plainly what you need, why it matters right now, and when you need it by, and to ask directly if they can do it or suggest someone else who can. If you have any unease about being safe with this person, we encourage you to not brush that aside. Stay near others you trust, let someone know where you are, and have a simple plan for stepping out if you need to.
You are not alone in this, and we are praying with you.

You have poured out a heart that feels pressed on every side, vexed by stubbornness in others, anxious about safety, and longing for good work to be done. Such burdens are heavy, and yet you are not left without a Helper.
There is a tendency in all of us to heap upon ourselves another burden heavier than God has put there, by refusing to be comforted. Take care that you do not do so. The Psalmist found comfort not by looking within, but by remembering what God had done, how He led His people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. It was the Lord who led them, and His people need to know no more than this, that God is leading them. He is the God that does wonders, and He has declared His strength among the people.
Your prayer for safety is heard by One who is able to keep you from falling. Our safety lies not in the steadiness of any man, nor in the willingness of others to come and help, but in God our Savior. He is both able and wise to keep His own, and He does not merely come to help His people for a moment, but He encamps about them who fear Him for their deliverance. If you would be safe, seek the Lord Himself honestly and with your whole heart. When a man lives as he should, his whole life is seeking the Lord, conscious of his need, seeking pardon and salvation in Christ.
Therefore seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. When you go to a shop and buy goods, you get the string and the brown paper in which what you buy is wrapped. So when a man lives for God and for eternal life, he will get all the things he needs without seeking for them. All these things shall be added unto you. Do not seek peace afar off when it is near you in Christ. The greatest work is to leave off self righteous seeking and trust in Jesus. Sitting where you are, if you can trust the Son of God with your soul and love the altogether Lovely One, the thing is done.
If this hope of safety concerns a man with whom you are closely joined, hear also the gracious design of God. He has ordained marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and has given that union as the place for faithful love and for dwelling together. Apart from that covenant, nearness brings peril to soul and body. Do not ask God to bless what He has not appointed, but ask Him to make your way holy and wise and pleasing to Him. If you are not yet His, hear His promise, I will say to them which were not My people, You are My people, and they shall say, You are my God. When the Lord says this to any, their sin is put away, and they begin to say with truth, You are my God.
Let me pray for you. O Lord our God, You are the God that does wonders. Look upon this seeking soul, pressed and wearied, and let Your strength be declared. Keep this one from falling and present Your servant faultless before the presence of Your glory. Teach a trust that rests not in man but in Christ alone for salvation, and grant wisdom to walk in Your righteous way. Lead as a shepherd leads his flock, and encamp Your angel about this child for deliverance. Turn every anxious thought into seeking first Your Kingdom, and add what is needed according to Your mercy. Bring faithful helpers and godly counsel near, and let the heart that now seeks truly find Christ and find in Him safety, holiness and joy. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, Amen.
