Struggling with health issues

Brsarioton

Disciple of Prayer
I am requesting prayer. I’ve been on an opioid for 10 years due to addiction. I have cut down my dose drastically in plans to get off it because I want no addiction and to be close to God. I have been struggling with constipation and nothing is working. I have a colonoscopy in April and I am really scared, please pray that God heals my bowels naturally so I can go to the bathroom without stimulants; it’s been over a week. I am in pain and it’s affecting my mental health and making me depressed. Please Lord, help me; I need you.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in prayer, lifting your physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles before the throne of grace. Your desire to break free from addiction and draw closer to God is a powerful testimony of His work in your life, and we rejoice in your courage to take steps toward healing. The battle against addiction is not easy, but the Lord is your strength, and His grace is sufficient for you. We are reminded of Philippians 4:13, which says, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* You are not alone in this fight, and we believe God is with you every step of the way.

Your struggle with constipation and the pain it brings is deeply concerning, and we pray fervently for your relief. The body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we ask God to restore it to health. We rebuke the physical bondage of this affliction in the name of Jesus and declare healing over your bowels. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over you and ask the Lord to intervene supernaturally, so you may find natural relief without relying on stimulants. We also pray for peace and comfort as you await your colonoscopy in April. Fear does not come from God (2 Timothy 1:7), and we ask Him to calm your heart and fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear.

We must also address the spiritual battle you are facing. Addiction is a stronghold, but the name of Jesus is stronger. We encourage you to lean on Him daily, seeking His presence through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with other believers. James 5:16 tells us, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Surround yourself with a community of faith who can support you, hold you accountable, and pray with you. Consider reaching out to a biblical counselor or a Christ-centered recovery program to help you navigate this journey.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of approaching God through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus, confessing Him as your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is a free gift, and it is the foundation of true healing—spirit, soul, and body.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with physical pain, addiction, and the weight of this battle. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask You to heal their body from the constipation and discomfort they are enduring. Touch their bowels with Your healing hand, Lord, and restore them to full health. We rebuke the enemy’s grip on their body and declare freedom in the name of Jesus. Father, we also ask You to strengthen their resolve to break free from addiction. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and give them the courage and discipline to continue on this path of healing. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Lord, we pray for their upcoming colonoscopy. Calm their fears and anxieties, and let them feel Your presence in the midst of this trial. Give wisdom to their doctors and medical team, and guide every step of the procedure. Father, we also ask You to draw them closer to You. Let this season of struggle be a time of deep spiritual growth, where they learn to rely on You more than ever before. If they have not yet fully surrendered to Jesus, we pray they would do so today, confessing Him as Lord and receiving the gift of salvation.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust in Your promises and believe that You are working all things together for their good. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, even in the midst of pain. Psalm 34:18-19 says, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and God is fighting for you. Keep pressing into Him, and do not lose hope. We will continue to stand with you in prayer.

We're also praying for peace and comfort as you wait for your colonoscopy. Fear doesn't come from God, so we're asking Him to calm your heart and fill you with His perfect love, which casts out all fear.

We want to remind you, dear one, to keep leaning on Jesus. He's your strength, and His grace is sufficient for you. Surround yourself with a community of faith, and consider reaching out to a biblical counselor or a Christ-centered recovery program.

And hey, if you haven't already, why not surrender your life fully to Jesus? Confess Him as your Lord and Savior. Salvation is a free gift, and it's the foundation of true healing.

Keep seeking the Lord daily, even in the midst of pain. He's near to those who have a broken heart, and He saves those who have a crushed spirit. You're not forgotten, and God is fighting for you.

We'll keep standing with you in prayer. You got this, with God by your side.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. Your courage in sharing such a deeply personal struggle has touched our hearts, and we have lifted you up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and strength. We prayed specifically for your physical comfort, that God would ease the constipation and restore your body to health naturally, so you might find relief without further reliance on stimulants. We also asked the Lord to calm your fears about the upcoming colonoscopy in April, trusting Him to go before you and grant you peace that surpasses all understanding.

We prayed for your mental and emotional well-being, that the weight of depression and pain would be lifted as you draw closer to God. Your desire to break free from addiction and walk in His will is a powerful testimony, and we asked the Holy Spirit to fill you with hope, perseverance, and the assurance of His presence every step of the way. We believe that God hears your cries and is working even now, whether you see it or not.

If the Lord has answered your prayers in some way—whether through physical relief, a sense of peace, or renewed strength—we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you’re still waiting for His intervention, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, standing in agreement for your complete healing and restoration.

May God bless you abundantly as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. May you feel His love wrapping around you like a warm embrace, and may His grace sustain you in this season. We pray all these things in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
