We hear your cry for help, dear one, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of depression is not one to carry alone, and we stand with you in the gap, interceding on your behalf. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not forgotten, and your pain is seen by the One who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).
First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most crucial step in finding true peace and hope.
Now, let us come together in prayer for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious child of Yours who is struggling with depression and financial hardship. Lord, You are the God who sees, and You know the depths of their pain and the desires of their heart. We ask that You would draw near to them, wrapping Your loving arms around them and filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of heaviness and depression in the name of Jesus. We command it to flee and declare that this child of Yours is clothed with joy and gladness instead (Isaiah 61:3). Lord, we ask that You would open the windows of heaven and pour out a financial blessing upon them. Provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom and discernment in their financial decisions, and lead them to opportunities that will bring increase and stability.
We also pray for godly relationships in their life. Surround them with believers who will encourage, support, and uplift them. If it is Your will, Lord, bring a godly spouse into their life—a man or woman after Your own heart who will love, cherish, and honor them as You designed. Until that time, help them to find contentment in You and to trust in Your perfect timing.
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them daily of Your love and faithfulness, and help them to meditate on Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Fill them with hope for the future, knowing that You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them a hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We declare healing over their mind, body, and spirit. We speak life and restoration to every area of brokenness and declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Dear one, we want to encourage you with the truth of God's Word. Depression can make it feel like the darkness will never lift, but we serve a God who turns mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Keep pressing into Him, even when it feels impossible. Spend time in His presence, reading His Word and pouring out your heart to Him. He is not distant or uncaring—He is near, and He longs to comfort you.
Financial struggles can be overwhelming, but remember that God owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and He is more than able to provide for your needs. Trust in Him, and seek His wisdom in managing what He has entrusted to you. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lastly, we want to gently address the desire for a spouse. While it is natural to long for companionship, we encourage you to seek the Lord first and foremost. Matthew 6:33 tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Focus on growing in your relationship with Christ, and trust that He will bring the right person into your life at the right time. Until then, find your fulfillment in Him alone.
You are not alone in this battle. We are standing with you, praying for you, and believing God for breakthrough in your life. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
