Your many sorrows and burdens have been poured out before the Lord, and it is good that you have poured them there rather than carrying them alone. You speak of infirmities of body and of spirit together, high blood sugar and insulin resistance, diabetes insipidus, popping vessels, dehydration, severe tartar and loss of teeth, infection of gums, dizziness after a fall, a heart valve that needs healing, osteoporosis, a bedridden loved one, and the heaviness of depression, anxiety and torment, with fear that takes a great toll upon you, fear of contamination that drives you to great lengths to protect yourself and others, vanity, covetousness, loneliness, internet addiction and self destructive thoughts. With these you have also laid before God the needs of your mother and her mind and brain, your father and his heart, your grandmother and her heart and her toes, and your brother who was hospitalized and remains dizzy though medicine has not helped. The Lord sees all these and hears the cry that comes from a weary heart.
Let me speak to you of the mercy seat. If you forsake the throne, then you may indeed fear that you are forsaken. But when the Spirit draws you to the mercy seat, such a fear must vanish, for if you are at the mercy seat, God is there too. God loves the mercy seat better than you do. Go there with all your cares, for anxiety itself unfits you to meet your difficulties. Therefore I charge you, as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, to play the part of faith and let faith overcome fear, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. To tell your trouble only to yourself will bring no good, but to tell it unto the Lord is to find One who has power to help.
You ask for deliverance from Satan and from demons, and for freedom from fear. Hear what the Lord says to His worm Jacob, Fear not, for I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden. Fear not, I have redeemed thee. Fear not, I am with thee. It is Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. To remain in fear when He has said Fear not is to dishonor Him who piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. The fear of God brings blessing, but the fear of man and the fear of torment brings a snare. Labour to be rid of fear by trusting the promised strength. He who has once come to fear God need fear nobody else, for his life is hidden with Christ and he is free indeed.
You ask also for healing, and healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The least thing about Christ is healing. As need is banished and darkness unknown in His presence, so bodily and spiritual disease shall be removed as He wills. Those faces which look so bright and comely owe their freshness to these healing leaves. Come practically to Him then for your blood sugar, your teeth and gums, your brain, your heart, the infection and the dizziness, the high cholesterol and the weakness. Ask Him who alone can bring forth His people from bondage. Deliverance from a cruel captivity must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. He brought them forth. He makes deliverance effectual. And He has found a ransom. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Jesus, and through Him alone is salvation.
You mention covetousness and vanity, and the small gain that came to you. Be thankful to God for every mercy, yet remember that true riches are not in what the lottery may give, but in what Christ gives freely. Seek first His kingdom, and learn contentment in Him, for godliness with contentment is great gain. And you mention the struggle with house cleaning and constant dehydration and the breaking of vessels in the body. These are not small to Him who numbers the hairs of your head. Bring these also to Him in prayer, and use the means He has provided, water, rest, diligent care of the body as His temple, and faithful labor in the home as unto the Lord.
You confess internet addiction, loneliness, and thoughts that would destroy you. Here again the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. They change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. You no longer need fear the archers, but being rid of every fear you may sit by the well's brink and be refreshed, knowing whom you have believed and being persuaded that He is able to keep that which you have committed unto Him.
You ask God to provide a godly husband whom God Himself joins to be one flesh. This is a holy desire, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and what God joins together let no man put asunder. I will pray that the Lord in His wisdom and timing will lead you out of temptation and make His will clear, keeping you pure and patient as you wait upon Him, trusting Him to provide in His season and not your own.
Now let us pray together.
O Lord our God, we come to the mercy seat in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. We confess our sin and our need of pardon, and we ask for healing as You see fit to give it. Lay Thy healing hand upon this dear soul, upon blood sugar and insulin resistance, upon diabetes insipidus, upon gums and teeth and tartar, upon popping vessels and dehydration, upon depression and anxiety and torment, upon fear and fear of contamination, upon the mind and the brain. Deliver from the power of Satan and from every evil spirit, and let the power of the Holy Spirit reign instead. Forgive covetousness and vanity and cleanse the heart. Break the chains of internet addiction, take away loneliness, rebuke self destructive thoughts and give peace.
We lift up mother, for infection and gums and teeth and brain and mind blindness, father for his heart valve and cholesterol and for his marriage, grandmother for heart and brain and teeth and bones and for her toes, and the brother who fell and is dizzy, that medication would be guided or Thy miraculous recovery would be granted according to Thy perfect will. Touch the lady with cancer, and all who need healing, and let each know that Thou art their healer. Provide for this family as Christmas approaches, give daily bread, give health and a happy heart, and above all give Thy salvation to all in the household. Keep this one from temptation while waiting for a godly husband, and if it be Thy will, join together in holy marriage as one flesh in due time.
We ask not as those who demand signs, but as those who trust Thy free grace. If Thou art pleased to regrow and restore, Thou canst do all things, yet we submit all to Thy wisdom. Let Thy will be done. Make this soul to live and declare the works of the Lord, that after affliction it may be said, the Lord has chastened me sorely but He has not given me over unto death. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our ransom and our healing, Amen.
