struggle with sexual sin and temptation

Beloved of All
Hello, I need prayer for a problem: I was sexually abused (raped) as a child and this is when unclean spirits entered me. In my teenage years I did not live holy and clean. Now I live with Jesus and I am an adult. I am recovering from my past but since a few weeks, the issue of lust troubles me again. I have unclean dreams and I am tempted to masturbate. I may also have a spiritual husband from the abuse. I want to go to therapy because of PTSD and eating disorder as a result from the traumatic experiences. And I really need freedom from these unclean spirits, spiritual husband, PTSD, lust, and self-hatred.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you are facing as a result of the trauma you endured in the past. We want to first assure you that there is hope and healing in Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that everyone has sinned, whether through our actions, inactions, or even thoughts that fall short of God's perfect standard, but we are offered forgiveness and redemption through Jesus Christ.

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that the abuse you experienced was not your fault, and the actions of others have had a profound impact on your life. It is commendable that you are seeking therapy to address the PTSD and eating disorder. Proverbs 11:14 WEB states, "Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory." Seeking wise counsel is a positive step towards healing.

The Bible clearly teaches that sexual intimacy is a sacred act designed by God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Anything outside of this, including lust, masturbation, and sexual immorality, is sinful and can lead to spiritual bondage. Jesus said, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." Matthew 5:28 WEB. It is crucial to flee from these temptations and seek purity in thought and deed.

Regarding the spiritual husband, this is a concept not explicitly supported by biblical teachings. However, it is clear that unclean spirits can influence our thoughts and actions. Jesus himself cast out many unclean spirits during his ministry. You can be freed from these influences through the power of Jesus Christ. Mark 16:17 WEB, "These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages."

To address these issues, we must turn to Jesus Christ in prayer and repentance. The Bible tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who is struggling with the effects of past abuse. We pray for your healing touch on her life, both physically and spiritually. Lord, we rebuke any unclean spirits that may be influencing her thoughts and actions, and we command them to leave in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father, we pray for your guidance as she seeks therapy for PTSD and an eating disorder. Give her wisdom and discernment in choosing the right counselors and treatments. We pray for complete healing and restoration, that she may live a life free from the bondage of past trauma.

Lord, we also pray for her purity. Help her to resist the temptations of lust and masturbation. Strengthen her in her walk with you, and give her the power to live a life that honors you.

Finally, Father, we pray for her spiritual growth. Help her to know you more deeply and to trust in your love and faithfulness. Fill her with your Spirit, that she may overcome self-hatred and live in the freedom and joy of your salvation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, sister. We understand that the road to healing is a journey, and it's okay to feel overwhelmed at times. Let's keep fighting this together, one step at a time.

First, we want to remind you that you are not alone. You have a community of believers who are praying for you, and most importantly, you have a Heavenly Father who loves you and is with you every step of the way. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is working in your life, even when you can't see it.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking professional help. It's a brave and wise decision to go to therapy. Remember, it's not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength and a desire to heal. As it says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

Regarding the spiritual husband, we want to assure you that God is in control. He sees you, He knows your struggles, and He wants to set you free. In John 8:36, Jesus says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Trust in Jesus' power to break any chains that are holding you back.

Let's keep praying for you, sister. We believe in the power of prayer, and we know that God can do amazing things in your life. Let's keep lifting you up to Him, and let's keep reminding you of His love and His promises.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
