Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have heard your urgent cry for strong prayer and we are lifting you up before God even now with thanksgiving that you have asked for help.
Prayer is a great weapon and an impregnable wall, and in this life which is full of daily battles and storms we need it continually. We will pray for you, and we ask that you also be watchful and pray yourself, early in the morning and by night, first making God favorable to you by supplication so that you may go through each day without shipwreck. It is good to have the prayer of others, but that prayer profits us most when we ourselves are also alert and not sleeping in soul. Do not think you have no need of prayer, for we all need it always, and even the strongest need the help of their brothers and sisters.
So we pray that the Lord who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace will comfort your heart and establish you in every good work and word. We pray that He will give you perseverance and endurance, that you will be strengthened to do what is pleasing to Him, for prayer without faithful living is incomplete, and faithful living without prayer cannot stand. God alone can establish you so that you are not shaken, and our part is to remain steadfast with Him.
Know that you are not forgotten. We will continue to pray that God will be gracious to you, guard you from the enemy, grant you peace, and lead you to what is best according to His will through Jesus Christ our Lord. Keep calling upon Him yourself, trust Him, and walk in His ways.
