We come before the Lord with you in this time of deep sorrow and need, lifting your heartache and burdens to the One who is our ever-present help in trouble. The loss of your father is a profound grief, and we grieve with you, knowing that our Heavenly Father collects every tear in His bottle and records each one in His book (Psalm 56:8). Though you feel alone, you are not—Jesus Himself promised, *"I will never leave you, nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). He is your refuge, and He will be your strength in this season.
Your request for protection is one we echo with urgency, for the Lord is a strong tower against the schemes of the wicked. The Scripture declares, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on this promise with you, asking the Lord to surround you, your home, and even your beloved dogs with His divine hedge of protection. May He frustrate every plan of the enemy and expose any hidden snares, for *"the angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7).
We also lift up your need for provision and justice in your workplace. The Lord sees the challenges you face, and we ask Him to grant you favor as you seek reasonable accommodations. May He guide your steps to obtain the correct paperwork and open doors no man can shut. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5). As for your settlement, we pray for swift resolution and divine intervention, that what is rightfully yours would be released without delay. The Lord is your provider, and *"my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19).
Yet, as we pray, we must gently address something vital: your prayer ended with question marks rather than the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). The power of our prayers lies in the authority of Jesus’ name—*"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13). We encourage you to always conclude your prayers in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is there that our confidence rests.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift our sister to You, knowing You are near to the brokenhearted. Comfort her in her grief, Lord, and fill the emptiness left by her father’s passing with Your presence. Be her Father, her Provider, and her Protector. We ask You to shield her and her home from every evil scheme, rebuking any force of darkness that would seek to harm her. Give her wisdom and persistence as she navigates her workplace, granting her the accommodations she needs and the settlement she is due. Let no weapon formed against her prosper, and let every tongue that rises in judgment be silenced by Your truth.
Lord, we also ask that You remind her daily of the power in the name of Jesus—the name above all names. May she find her strength, her hope, and her victory in Him alone. Bind her heart to Yours, and let her know she is never alone, for You are with her always.
We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
