Stressed Out? - Seek God's Perfect Peace!

STRESSED OUT? - SEEK GOD'S PERFECT PEACE!

You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4

As you start the month of December you may have already started decorating your home, baking special cookies or you may be climbing a ladder after you offered to put up the Christmas lights at your home for your wife. If you have children, you may have many extra events to attend this month. Are you getting stressed out as you think of all you must do before Christmas? This is a month where you need to talk to the Lord throughout each day asking Him to help set your priorities. He only can give you peace in your busy schedule.

Are you facing marriage problems, a separation, a divorce or other events during December that are making you feel anxious or fearful? My prayer for you today is to seek God's perfect peace while you are going through your crisis of marriage problems that you may have never thought would happen to your family. Do you KNOW you can have God's perfect peace while you are facing your marriage being declared dead?

When your life is in turmoil due to your marriage problems, it often produces financial and other hardships and problems so you must continually, all the time, strive to keep your mind turned to your Lord in prayer. Put all your trust and hope in Him alone. You need to know that the only One who can move or change your impossible circumstances is your Lord Jesus Christ. Never forget He is faithful. Do you remember the last time that your Lord answered a very special prayer for you? Now believe in His mighty love and power, again.

LORD, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us. Isaiah 26:12

As you seek the righteousness of your Lord, you can acquire the perfect peace when your mind is steadfast knowing the Lord's will for your life and family. Never forget that God hates divorce. He wants your family reconciled, restored and with a better marriage than when your husband or wife left. Even if you go through a difficult day, always know that your Lord will stand up, protect and defend you. You must trust in your Lord more than anyone else, as He is the only One who can respond instantly in the critical times in your or your children's lives. You need to "lean upon the Lord" totally, knowing that you can always trust the Lord for everything!

The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. Psalm 29:11

You must teach this principle to your children or grandchildren so that they will never forget to call on the Name of Jesus and trust Him to help them when you are not always around. Your children are going to be tempted by their peers to do many different things, and you need to teach your children that the Lord will give them the strength and power to help them out of difficult and tempting situations which they need to flee from immediately.

We hear from husbands and wives who are facing very difficult situations. Your spouse is blinded and deceived. Your husband or wife may still be living at home which is a huge praise as they are under your roof, but it may be more of a testing for you to love them unconditionally. Your prodigal husband/wife may have already left and are living in the far country and appears to be happier than ever. Has your beloved spouse started communicating and texting or emailing you more frequently? They may be testing the waters to see if they could come home and be accepted by all the family members.

Has your beloved spouse just returned from their far country recently? Your husband or wife regardless of the circumstances, may still not have repented of their lifestyle and be living a double-minded lifestyle in front of your children. Just keep fasting and praying for your spouse, but if you do not see the mountain moving yet, don't give up! Remember, your Lord brought your spouse home. It is much better for them to be living at home than living outside of your home with all the temptations of the world. Bob always said, “If the Lord brought them home, then the Lord will clean His fish." You must continue to be faithful in praying for your husband's or wife's salvation and heart transformation. May I encourage you pray several different salvation scriptures each day and the Lord will do the rest.

"Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent and live!" Ezekiel 18:30-32

I applaud so many standers who are doing your best to cover your spouse's nakedness to spare your children heartache, while your spouse is exposing your children to the other person even more. Yes, my children were exposed to the other women. One time, Lori was told, “I have never had a daughter and now we can bake many cookie recipes together.†Lori came home very upset. So I prayed for the Lord to protect her, block and thwart all the enemy’s plans that would hurt my children. Remember, most husbands or wives have the right to take your child or children and do what they want or teach your children. That is why you are praying for their hardened heart to be softened. Yet, we do want your husband or wife to have a healthy relationship with your children. Your children did not get a divorce from their other parent. Try to keep communication and a father/mother relationship with the other parent as it will be easier when they return home.

"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:27

In May, 2005, Reader's Digest featured a segment naming "America's 100 Best" in different fields. There was a small article naming Max Lucado, one of our favorite Christian writers, as "The Best Preacher." It told how Max Lucado believes in second chances. When he was young, he "drifted" from his faith and struggled with drinking. Now look at what the Lord has done with Max Lucado's life!

Dear stander, don't give up on your alcoholic spouse, your spouse who is battling drugs or sexual addictions right now. Your beloved spouse may be living two different lifestyles, one at work and something totally different at their home. God knows and sees all. Please keep your mind steadfast and faithful on the Lord. Never stop trusting what the Lord will accomplish.

What your children need to see is the Holy Spirit conviction of commitment and tenacity as one parent prays and waits on the Lord Jesus Christ to break through the walls of silence and sin that their parent has built. What unconditional love you are showing them! You are the Christian parent believing in the power of prayer and trusting in your Lord God to bring back your husband/wife and their mom/dad with you both believing that they will be changed into a new spouse and parent. Nothing is too hard for our Lord! Never give up!

"All your sons will be taught by the LORD, and great will be your children's peace. In righteousness you will be established: Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you. If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing; whoever attacks you will surrender to you. See, it is I who created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to work havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:13-17

Have a blessed day,
