Stress is a killer, what brings the most stress in your life?
Your health, family, friends, the direction of our nation?
What ever happened to peace and joy and all those great things we used to talk about.
People turn to drugs, sex, gambling to cope with their stress or to look for an escape. But none seem to work.
What is the solution?
God's Stress Remover:
- No one has done that to you, you've done it to yourself.
- You bring stress upon yourself.
- Matthew 14:23
- You can stand against stress if you handle it in the right fashion.
- Sometimes God has to pin us to a wall for us to learn a lesson.
- What gives you a sense of freedom is Solitude.
- Clarify the meaning of Solitude.
- Loneliness is an anxiety of feeling alone and disconnected, out of touch, feeling of isolation and inner emptiness.
- Solitude to be alone as long as we choose.
- Loneliness is painful, Solitude is not because it's our own choice.
- When you get alone with God that tension and that stress is vanished. Alone not to have a Bible study but to talk with Him.
- Solitude is a decision out of choice
Spiritual Examples:
- Would you like to be without stress? It doesn't mean you won't have anymore but you'll know how to deal with it when it comes.
- Why would God want us to be alone with Him?
- 1. Relationship.
- There is only one thing God created that He could have a personal relationship with, and that was human beings. He made man in His image not physical but in spirit and soul. He created us in His image to reveal His love and truthfulness.
- Primary purpose: Fellowship with God.
- And solitude is the way that relationship becomes a reality in our life.
- 2 Corinthians and Romans 5
- How can God have the relationship He wants when you're always busy doing something else?
- God has created you, sustained you and you say you don't have time for God, is an ingratitude and ignorant attitude.
- 2nd purpose: Preparation
- To experience the presence of all mighty God.
- Solitude gets us ready for the next day.
- We don't know what the future holds but by starting off the day with the one that goes us guidance and direction.
- No computers or electronics but just you.
The experience of solitude:
- The scripture is important but it's a matter of being alone with God.
- Most folks fear being alone.
- Do you have to worry about being alone with a God who loves you enough to die for you?
- No, you don't.
- God wants you by Himself
- He wants to reveal Himself to you, to know Him intimately and personally.
- When you marry someone you want their undivided attention.
- You don't want to get married for your spouse to say I'll see you in about a month, here's a new car couple bucks see ya.
- You got married because you loved that person and want to be with them because you feel a feeling of belonging, and want to spend time with them.
- Ask God to make Himself known to you, to sense His presence in our lives.
- If you want to be alone with God you have to eliminate distractions.
- If you close your eyes and you don't hear anything you have no distraction
- You have to get rid of the distractions to communicate with God.
- Do you have a place to go where there is no light nor sound?
- Don't you think God deserves your undivided attention?
- When it's total darkness and no sound God will reveal Himself in the most awesome fashion. Because it's just you and God
- The most efficient way to get rid of stress is you alone with God. Quiet stillness, solitude.
- God is the one who desires you to be alone with Him
- It makes all your problems disappear because you're in the presence of holy God
- He's waiting for you to give yourself to Him.
- If God can do anything then why don't you let Him do it?
- God loves you and wants to be with you, without all the distractions.
- You can make time to be alone with God if you want to.
- Find a place to be alone with God and pray.
- We have no idea what God is good for us in times because someone is praying for us.
Benefits of solitude upon our life:
- Productive
- Repairs the damage. Time of solitude drains all your problems
- Just give God time.
- There's nothing He can't fix.
- The most important place in your house is the one where you can communicate with God.
- It helps us face those tough days
- Confidently and in a tough way.
- Surprising moments.
- That you will experience when you trust God and listen to Him.
- He may not say anything but one of those times you will see His will and He will give you exactly what we are looking for
- Sometimes He shows us things we haven't even asked for, because He loves us
- We just have to listen
- God loves us.
- It's not physical likeness but spiritual likeness.
- He will show you which way to walk.
- Pride:
- He will show us who we are
- God Almighty who made heaven and earth desires I be with you, it'll make you proud
- God will protect you.
- Health
- Stress, anxiety, anger, create something. Think about what it does to your nervous system and your body
- God says I'm here for you I will supply you and take care of you, I just want you and your undivided attention.
- You don't have an excuse if you really want to be alone with God you can make it happen.
- God says I just want you with me but we are all too busy, in a rush.
- When you go to church and they ask when we're gonna get out? When we get finished.
- There's no time limit to be with God.
- These is the way you deal with it.
- Why don't you try to be alone with God instead of watching TV or any other earthly thing.
- When you get to heaven there won't be television.
- He wants us.
- When you get alone with God He steals your heart.
- When you practice solitude there is a greater strength from God and a greater trust and relationship with God.
- Do you want God's best?
Do you want life's best? Peace, joy, quietness when turmoil is all around you? God is the way.
- The Heavenly Father won't give you peace or joy when you're rebelling against Him.
- He wants you.
- Ask Him to cleanse you and forgive you.
- Whatever you want to do to me just make me in your likeness.
- You will live better, longer, happier, joyful and peaceful.
- Solitude in the Heavenly Father.
- Develop a relationship with God.
- Do not forget what you have heard or read here today.
The human mind will remember and mention His mother for as long as they live.
