Disciple of Prayer
My Husband and I have been stuck in an unhealthy living situation for many years now, and we are finally moving to a new apartment this Wednesday. We have been so excited, and I have felt God's hand and guidance through the process. However today, we went to pick up keys and check in on the apartment, and the condition wasn’t what I was hoping for. It hadn’t been cleaned at all, and a few things weren’t working or need replacing. I feel so much stress and worry over this. The worker told us it would be taken care of, but given the short timeframe I’m so concerned and worried for our move on Wednesday morning. Please pray that the apartment will be clean and ready to receive us, so we can start our new home together. I’m so overwhelmed. I was hoping this would be such a positive and smooth transition, but today has me feeling doubt. I know God will take care of us, and as long as we have each other and a roof over our heads we will be okay, but I could use any extra prayers, and words of advice or encouragement.

We understand the weight of stress and uncertainty you’re carrying, and we want to lift you up in prayer and remind you of God’s faithfulness in this season. It’s beautiful that you’ve already recognized His hand in guiding you to this new home, even when the path feels rocky. The enemy loves to use unexpected setbacks to plant seeds of doubt, but we must remember that our God is not surprised by any of this—He is sovereign over every detail, even the ones that feel overwhelming.

The Bible reminds us in **Proverbs 16:9**, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* You’ve prayed, you’ve trusted, and now you’re seeing a bump in the road—but this doesn’t mean God has abandoned the plan. In fact, it may be an opportunity to lean even harder on Him and witness His provision in a tangible way. **Philippians 4:6-7** tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* Right now, the stress is real, but so is the peace God offers when we surrender our worries to Him.

We also want to encourage you with **Matthew 6:25-34**, where Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our needs, for our Heavenly Father knows what we require. He clothes the lilies of the field and feeds the birds of the air—how much more will He care for you, His beloved child? This move is not just about a physical home; it’s about stepping into a new season where God is calling you to trust Him more deeply. Even if the apartment isn’t perfect on Wednesday, He will provide. It may not look the way you envisioned, but His ways are higher than ours (**Isaiah 55:8-9**).

Let’s pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our sister and her husband, lifting up this move and the stress that has crept in. Lord, You know the desires of their hearts for a smooth transition, for a home that feels safe and welcoming. We ask that You would move mightily in these next few days—soften the hearts of those responsible for preparing the apartment, give them diligence and urgency to complete the work thoroughly and well. Father, where there is dirt, bring cleanliness; where there is brokenness, bring repair; where there is doubt, bring faith. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace.

We rebuke the spirit of anxiety and fear trying to take root in their hearts. Satan, you have no place here—this home belongs to the Lord, and He is making all things new. We declare **Psalm 118:24** over them: *"This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!"* Even if Wednesday doesn’t go perfectly, they will choose joy because their hope is in You, not in circumstances.

Strengthen their marriage through this, Lord. Let them be a united front, speaking life and faith to one another. Remind them that they are not just moving into a new apartment—they are stepping into a new chapter of Your purpose for their lives. Give them patience, grace, and an extra measure of Your peace as they pack, as they wait, and as they cross the threshold into this new home.

We thank You in advance for the testimony that will come from this. You are faithful, and we trust You completely. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Sister, we want to leave you with this: God often uses the "unclean" and "broken" things in our lives to display His glory. The Israelites faced the Red Sea before they saw the miracle of parting waters. David faced Goliath before he saw the giant fall. You may be standing at your own "Red Sea" moment, but remember—God is about to do something that will leave you in awe of His power. Keep praising Him in the waiting. Keep trusting Him in the unknown. And when Wednesday comes, walk into that home with thanksgiving, knowing He has gone before you.

If the apartment still isn’t perfect, take authority in Jesus’ name and speak life over it. **1 Peter 5:7** says to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you. So cast them—every single one—and watch Him work. You’re not just moving houses; you’re moving forward in faith. We’re standing with you!

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and your husband, and we want you to know that we're right there with you in prayer. We understand the whirlwind of emotions you're experiencing, from the excitement of a new home to the stress of unexpected challenges. It's like you're standing at the edge of the Red Sea, trusting that God will make a way, even when the path ahead isn't clear yet.

We want to encourage you with these words from Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes." God sees you, He knows your heart's desire for a smooth transition, and He's working behind the scenes. Trust that He has everything under control.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You on behalf of our sister and her husband. Lord, You know their hearts' desire for a clean, ready apartment to start their new life together. We ask that You would intervene, soften the hearts of those responsible, and give them the diligence to complete the work thoroughly and well. Lord, where there is dirt, bring cleanliness; where there is brokenness, bring repair; where there is doubt, bring faith. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Protector, and their Peace.

We also pray for peace in their hearts. Lord, help them to trust You more deeply, even in the midst of uncertainty. Give them patience, grace, and an extra measure of Your peace as they wait and as they cross the threshold into their new home.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Remember, even if Wednesday doesn't go perfectly, choose joy because your hope is in Him, not in circumstances. You're not just moving houses; you're moving forward in faith. We're standing with you, cheering you on every step of the way.

Keep trusting, keep praising, and watch God work miracles in your new home.
