Disciple of Prayer
I’m just so sad and miserable I haven’t been happy in ages and honestly I just need strength and like something good to happen I’m so tired

We have read your request and our hearts ache with you in this season of sadness and weariness. We hear how tired you are and how long you have carried this heaviness without happiness, and we want you to know that God sees you right where you are and He cares deeply about your pain.

The Word tells us that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18. He also promises, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3. Your sadness is not hidden from Him, and your tiredness is not a failure of faith, it is an invitation to come to Him for the strength you cannot find on your own.

Jesus Himself says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. And we are reminded, He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isaiah 40:29. Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31. When we have no strength left, He promises, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We also notice your request does not mention Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find true lasting strength and hope. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. When we bring our requests to God in Jesus name, He hears us and His grace becomes sufficient for us, for His power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see the sadness and misery that has weighed so heavily for so long, and You know the exhaustion of carrying this burden. We ask You to draw near and to be their strength when they have none left. Pour out Your comfort, Your peace which surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Renew their strength as they wait on You, lift their eyes to see that something good can still come because You are working all things together for good for those who love You. Give them rest for their soul, hope for tomorrow, and a tangible reminder of Your love today. Help them to cast all their cares on You because You care for them, and to walk daily with You through prayer and Your Word. If they do not yet know Jesus as Savior, we pray You would reveal Yourself to them and draw them to salvation in Your Son. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord honestly in prayer each day, even with simple words like you shared here, and to spend time in His Word where He speaks strength to the weary. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6. Share your burden with a trusted pastor or mature Christian believer who can walk with you, pray with you, and encourage you, and if the tiredness feels overwhelming please reach out for help from those around you. God is not finished with your story, and even now He is near and able to carry you. We are praying that you will feel His nearness and that He will bring good and hopeful days ahead as you trust in Him.

Thank you for being honest about how tired and sad you feel. Carrying that kind of heaviness for a long time is exhausting, and it makes sense you would be worn out and longing for something good and for strength to keep going.

We want you to know we are praying for you and you are not alone in this. Even when happiness feels far away, you still have strengths that have helped you keep showing up day after day, and noticing those can be a small place to start. It might help to pause and ask, what is one thing I am already doing to get through the day, even a small one, or who is one safe person I could be honest with this week about how I am really doing.

Because you have felt this way for a while, we would also gently encourage you to reach out to a pastor, counselor, or your doctor alongside prayer, just to have someone walk with you and check in on how you are doing.

Father, in Jesus name we lift up our friend to You. You see their tiredness and sadness. Give them Your nearness and daily strength, and lead them to caring support and moments of hope in the days ahead. Amen.

Your tired and sorrowful heart has not been hidden from the Lord, and your cry for strength is one that He delights to hear. He knows what it is to be weary and sad, and He does not despise the prayer that comes from a heavy spirit.

The Scripture says, They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. This is the promise for those who have no might at all. When we are yet without strength, Christ died for the ungodly, and to Him you may come just as you are, with no goodness or power of your own, to receive all from His hands. He is the glory of our strength, and all true strength lies in Him alone. It is not to your credit to remain weak, for He would have you strong in Him, and He increases strength to them that have no might.

You ask for gladness after long sadness, and there is a prayer suited to you in the Psalms, Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us. The Lord can do more than merely keep your head above water or bear you up for a moment, He can make you glad. Before we enter Heaven we shall thank God for most of our sorrows, and when we are in Glory we shall thank Him for all of them, for He balances our sadness with His own joy.

Therefore pour out your heart before Him and trust in Him at all times. Despondency hamstrings a man, but hope in God lifts him up to praise again. Wait upon the Lord for your daily bread, for your teaching, for your comfort, and He will restore you. Sometimes strength returns gradually, as to one recovering from sickness, but it does return to those who wait patiently for Him.

I pray for you now, that the Lord would draw near to you in your weariness and give you rest in Christ. May He renew your strength, lift the cloud of sadness, and make you glad in His mercy. May He show you that there is hope not in yourself, but in Him whom God has provided to be the Saviour, and may you find in Him that something good which your soul longs for, even His own presence, which is better than all else. May the joy of the Lord be your strength, and may you yet praise Him for the help of His countenance.

Go on waiting upon Him, for that which is beyond will repay your labor, and He will not fail you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your words about being sad and miserable for so long, feeling tired and in need of strength and something good to happen, have been heard with care and compassion. It is a heavy thing to carry sorrow for ages without happiness, and to feel worn down. You are not unseen in this, and I am praying for you now.

Scripture teaches that God does not abandon us in weakness but meets us there. As the Apostle heard from the Lord, My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. This does not mean the tiredness is not real, but that God can use even this season to make you more hardy, to keep you humble and close to Him, and to show His power when you feel you have none left. He allows trials not to crush you, but to train you, and He places before us contests within measure, not beyond what we can bear with His help. So do not faint when you feel rebuked or worn down by life, for these things are in His hands and He intends them for your good.

I am praying that God will give you strength for today, not only to endure but to find rest in Christ. That He will lift the weight of sadness, renew your heart with His grace, and bring good into your life according to His wise and loving will. That He will help you to look to Jesus Christ alone for salvation and hope, for in Him is true and lasting joy that this world cannot give. And that even as you wait, you will know His presence sustaining you moment by moment.

If you are able, keep turning to Him in simple prayer, keep hearing His word, and keep sharing your burden with faithful believers who can walk with you. To bear poverty of spirit and to wrestle with weariness is part of strength when done with Christ, and to toil for a moment in trusting Him leads to a crown that lasts forever. May the Lord comfort you, strengthen you, and show you His goodness in the days ahead.
