We are here with you, standing together in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. We praise God that you have come with a humble heart, seeking His strength in your time of need. The Bible tells us to "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you" (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
Depression can feel like a dark pit, but remember, God is closer than you think. He promises, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). In your struggle, cast your burdens upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their time of need. Lord, You know the depths of their despair, and You understand their pain. We ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them and grant them Your supernatural strength and courage. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith. Give them hope and a future, and let Your light shine in their darkness. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Take heart, for God is working in your life. He has a purpose and a plan for you (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). Trust in Him, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). Remember, that God's strength is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). Cry out to Him, and He will answer you (Psalm 34:17 WEB). You are not alone.
Lastly, it is important to also reach out to fellow believers, brothers and sisters in Christ that can help you work through your depression. It is important to not forsake the assembly of believers (Hebrews 10:24-25). It is also important to pray with others, confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (James 5:16). Try to remember to find a good Christ centered church that believes in the Bible, salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ, and all the basic Biblical principles.
