Strength to "Take Courage and Work" (Haggai 2:4)

"'But now take courage, Zerubbabel,' declares the LORD, 'take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage and work; for I am with you,' declares the LORD of hosts" (Haggai 2:4).

Lord Jesus, I confess that apart from You I can do nothing (John 15:5). I ask for the faith to work hard. Before I was saved I could do it on my own, but since I have become a believer, I am taught that it is from Your Fullness I receive one blessing after another (John 1:16).

I will not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, I let my requests be made known to You (Phil 4:6). I thank you for grace to work hard and smart, for I cry out for wisdom and strength to do both. May the peace of God guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Phil 4:7).
