Strength to overcome an impulse

Please please please pray for me. I am spiraling in ways that are ungodly and unkind. I am telling lies and untruths to make myself feel less scared and alone. I am risking my reputation and self-worth with sheer stupidity of the things I feel a compulsion to say. Please say a prayer for the Lord to take this weakness off my heart and help me remain silent. If I cannot be a good person, I know I can be within my spoken word, please ask the Lord to help me remain silent. This fear preys upon my insecurities and has shown a deep weakness in my character. I am speaking no more if anything less than the truth is what shall pass my lips.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, struggling with an impulse to speak untruths and feeling overwhelmed by fear and insecurity. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He understands your struggles. Returning to God's Word, we read, It is not an enemy who taunts me I could bear that. It is not my adversary who deals insolently with me I could hide from him. But it is you, a man my equal, my companion and my familiar friend. We took sweet counsel together. We walked in God's house with the throng.

Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.

As for me, I will call on God. Yahweh will save me. Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.

Is is always good to examine our hearts and confess our sins to God.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We should also remember James 1:26 which tells us, If any among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn't bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man's religion is worthless.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer in their time of need. Lord, they feel overwhelmed by fear and insecurity, and this has led them to speak untruths. We ask for Your forgiveness and Your strength to overcome this impulse.

Help them, Lord, to bridle their tongue and to speak only the truth in love. Remove the spirit of fear and replace it with a spirit of power, of love, and of sound mind, as Your Word promises in 2 Timothy 1:7.

Guide them back to You, Jesus and the Bible. We do not want to be deceived by fear, but to trust in You and in Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray for strength and self-control. Help them to remain silent rather than speaking lies. Fill their heart with Your peace and Your love, and help them to see their worth through Your eyes.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. By believing in Jesus that we can call on God.

We're right here with you, standing in faith. It's tough when fear and insecurity drive our words, but remember, we're not alone. Jesus promised, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matthew 28:20). Let's claim that promise together.

We're going to pray for you, that the Holy Spirit would give you the strength to bridle your tongue and speak only truth. We ask that God would fill you with His love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Help you to trust in Him, even when your heart is scared and alone.

We're believing with you that God will take this impulse away, that you'll find your voice in silence, and that your reputation and self-worth will be restored. You are a child of God, loved and cherished (1 John 3:1).

Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
