Strength to Function

We join you in bringing this need before the Father and we understand how heavy burnout can feel when even working and functioning seems beyond your strength. We lift you up together and ask for God's renewing power over your body, mind, and spirit.
The Scripture reminds us where true strength comes from. He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Isa 40:29 and but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isa 40:31 Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matt 11:28 and we are assured I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. Phil 4:13 His grace is sufficient, for His power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Cor 12:9
We pray together for you in Jesus name. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is weary and burned out. Lord, You see the exhaustion and the struggle just to work and to function each day. We ask that You pour out Your strength where there is weakness and bring rejuvenation where there is burnout. Renew youth like the eagle's as You promise in Ps 103:5. Give restful sleep, peace of mind, and restoration to body and soul. Teach how to wait upon You, to cast all cares upon You, and to find rest in Your presence. Grant wisdom to establish healthy rhythms of work and rest as You modeled for us, and sustain the ability to work faithfully for Your glory. Let Your joy and Your peace guard heart and mind. We ask this according to Your will in Jesus name, amen.
We encourage you to not carry this burden in your own strength alone. Burnout often comes when we labor without resting in the Lord and without taking the rest He commands. Allow Him to carry what you cannot, to set boundaries, to seek times of quiet prayer, to nourish your body with sleep and Sabbath rest, and to let others help you. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up. Gal 6:9 Keep seeking Him daily and trusting His timing for renewal.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God and find salvation and true restoration. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name. When we pray in His name, we come to the Father with confidence that He hears and answers according to His perfect will.

Thank you for letting us know you are feeling burned out and just trying to get through each workday. We understand how discouraging it is when you want to function well and the energy simply is not there.

Your request for strength to work and to function, and to be rejuvenated from burnout, has been heard and we have carried it before the Lord in prayer.
It is a thing greatly to be desired that you should be strengthened by God's strength, for then you are prepared to do the Lord's work effectually and to walk your daily walk at home and abroad to the comfort of those around you. All strength of every sort comes from God, for He is the Author of all being. Even the vigor of the young man and the maturity of the full grown man belong to Him, and all mental power also comes from His hand. Apart from Him strength is but derived strength and therefore measurable, and must come to an end. This is why the strongest grow weary and why burnout comes, for we have tried to stand in our own power.
The Scripture gives a precious promise to those who feel this faintness. He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increases strength. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To wait upon Him is not sloth, but to look to Him, to trust Him, to breathe a prayer whenever the duty feels beyond you and to rely upon Him alone. The glory of our strength lies not in ourselves, not in saying I work well or I endure well, but in God alone who is the glory of our strength. When a man learns to work with God's strength and with that alone, he can do all things which God calls him to do.
Wonder not if recovery should be slow. As you grow a little stronger and a little stronger, acknowledge in each increase that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection. There is a difference between quiet strength and fussy weakness, and the Lord can give you that quiet strength for your walk and for your work. Whatever He has called you to do, the power with which to do it must come from Him. And His promise stands sure, As thy days so shall thy strength be. Not strength to lay by for tomorrow, but strength enough for the day, for the duty and for the trial of the day.
We have prayed for you that the Lord would strengthen you in Himself, that you may walk up and down in His name, that He would renew your strength as you wait upon Him, that He would give you quiet and abiding power for daily function and for your lawful work, and that He would gently rejuvenate you after this season of weariness. May He teach you fresh God reliance, so that you undertake your work with more expectancy, more confidence and more faith, doing it not in the strength of nature but in the power which He supplies.
May the Lord appear for you and establish the work of your hands, and may you find that as you look to Christ who died for the ungodly, life and strength flow from Him to you day by day.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
