Thank you for sharing this honest need. I am praying for you now that God will lift you up and renew you in this season of burnout.
The Scripture says the Lord is the strength of your life, your light and your salvation, your shield and your help. Because He watches over you, you do not need to be afraid. He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless His people with peace. That strength is not something you have to manufacture yourself. In fact when we try to live in our own strength, or try to do things He has not called us to do, we grow weary very quickly. Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light, and His heart is that you would find delight in doing His will in His power, not your own.
There is a blessedness in learning that your strength is in Him. The Apostle Paul learned that God's strength is made perfect in weakness, so he could even rejoice in his weakness that God's power might be shown. Even young men faint and grow weary, but the promise is that those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. To those who have no might, He increases strength. When you feel you have come to the end of your own resources, that is the very place where His strength can carry you.
The secret of true strength is a life set apart unto God, trusting Him fully. Like Samson, whose strength lay not in himself but in his separation unto God, our strength is found in belonging wholly to Him. And like David, who as a young man faced the giant in confidence in God and then in old age prayed, do not cast me off when my strength fails but let me declare Your strength to the next generation, we can go in the strength of the Lord God at every age and in every season.
You can find that strength again as you wait on Him, as you bring every burden to Him in prayer, and as you let His Word become your portion and your stay. The Word gives strength in the hour of trial and reminds you of His promises, so that an attitude of defeat can be turned into confidence in His victory. He is your strong tower and shelter. Even the valleys of weeping can become a place of wells and pools of refreshment when your strength is in Him, and you will go from strength to strength as you appear before Him.
So I pray that the Lord Himself will be your strength now. May He renew you as you wait on Him, may His peace guard your heart, and may His Word refresh you daily. May you learn again to rest in His strength rather than your own, to trust Him for each step, and to know His help that causes your heart to rejoice and sing praise. May He keep you in His love and give you grace to endure, and may you experience His rejuvenation, His peace, and His joy in a fresh way.
