Storage

Beloved of All
I expressed my hurt and pain of my public storage unit. All my belongings were auctioned and sold. I called and a regional manager returned my call and gave him a list of things that I would like returned: a few dresses for church, a family heirloom, a Big Bible that mom and dad had, a few sweaters, and shoes. I told him I only have old work clothes. He called the auctioneer and is waiting for a call back. My computer, books, college diplomas, and beyond. He said it is no guarantee the auctioneer will return anything to me. I told him about the unit in my son's name; he was going to call him about the other unit that my ### son has had some of my things as well. He said he will reach out to my ### son and let him know the day of the auction and he can bid only about 10 or 20 dollars to buy that unit. My ### son caused me to lose my apartment, my car, now my things. I am through with him a long time ago. I have a friend of mine who had a truck to help me move. My ### son is ###; he gradually got all of his things and left mine; he just did not care. He is ### and the devil is working overtime. My storage auctioned but his is still standing; how did that happen? Just wanted you warriors to know. I wish the auctioneer would respond and give me everything back; wishful thinking. If you would pray for me, your prayers do get answered. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

We hear your heartache and the deep sense of loss you are experiencing, and we stand with you in prayer before the throne of grace. The pain of losing not just material possessions, but irreplaceable items filled with sentimental value—like your parents’ Bible and family heirlooms—is profound. We grieve with you over the injustice of this situation, especially as it involves betrayal from someone you once trusted. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 13:15 that "good understanding gains favor, but the way of the unfaithful is hard," and we see the hardness of this path you’ve been forced to walk.

First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. Your words about your son being used by the enemy are not taken lightly. The devil seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and his influence can manifest in broken relationships and deep wounds. But we serve a God who is greater than any scheme of the enemy. We rebuke the spirit of division, betrayal, and destruction in this situation in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray for the restoration of what has been lost—not just in the physical, but in the emotional and spiritual realms as well.

We also lift up the practical aspects of your request. The regional manager’s willingness to help is a glimmer of hope, and we pray that the auctioneer responds with compassion. We ask the Lord to soften their hearts and move in a way that only He can, so that even if not everything is returned, the most precious items—like your parents’ Bible and the family heirloom—are restored to you. We pray for favor in this situation, that the Lord would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide a way where there seems to be no way.

Regarding your son, we must speak truth in love. The pain he has caused you is real, and it is right to set boundaries to protect your heart and well-being. However, we are called to pray for those who have hurt us, even when it feels impossible. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44 to "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." This does not mean excusing his actions or allowing further harm, but it does mean releasing him into God’s hands and trusting Him to work in his life. We pray for your son, that the Lord would convict his heart, break the chains of the enemy over him, and draw him back to repentance and restoration—first with God, and then, if it is His will, with you.

We also encourage you to seek wisdom and counsel as you navigate this season. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Lean on your friend who has offered help, and consider reaching out to a pastor or trusted believer who can walk alongside you. You do not have to carry this burden alone.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who has endured so much loss and betrayal. Lord, You see every tear she has shed and every injustice she has faced. We ask that You would move mightily in this situation, softening the hearts of those who have the power to restore what has been taken. Father, we pray for the return of the items that hold deep sentimental value—her parents’ Bible, the family heirloom, and anything else that can be recovered. We declare that You are a God of restoration, and we trust You to work all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of division and destruction that has been at work in her family. We break every chain of betrayal and unforgiveness in the name of Jesus, and we pray for healing in her heart. Give her the strength to release her son into Your hands, trusting You to deal with him justly. Father, we ask that You would draw him back to You, convicting his heart and leading him to repentance.

We also pray for provision in this season. You know her needs, Lord, and we ask that You would open doors of opportunity for her—whether through employment, housing, or the kindness of others. Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her daily that she is not alone. You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill her with hope. Even in the midst of this storm, we declare that You are working for her good. Renew her strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and let her see Your hand at work in her life. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises during this time. He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He will not abandon you. Continue to seek Him in prayer and in His Word, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If there is any way to involve your church or Christian community in supporting you, do not hesitate to reach out. You are not forgotten, and we stand with you in faith.

Oh sister, we're right here with you, feeling the weight of your loss and the sting of betrayal. It's like a punch to the gut, isn't it? But remember, God sees you. He's right there, walking through this valley with you.

We've been thinking about your situation, and we want to encourage you. You've already taken a big step by reaching out to the regional manager. That's a sign of faith, and we believe it will bear fruit. Keep that line of communication open, and let's trust God to move in the hearts of those involved.

Now, about your son. We know it's hard, but try not to let bitterness take root in your heart. Jesus said to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. It's not easy, but it's the path to healing and freedom. So, let's pray for your son. Let's ask God to soften his heart, to open his eyes to the pain he's caused, and to draw him back to repentance and restoration.

And hey, don't forget to take care of yourself too. It's okay to lean on your friend for help. In fact, it's wise. Proverbs tells us there's strength in unity and counsel. So, let people in. Let them help you carry this load.

We're praying for you, sister. We're asking God to move mountains, to soften hearts, to restore what was lost, and to heal your heart. We're trusting Him to work all things together for your good. And we're believing that He will. Because that's who He is.

Keep holding on. Keep trusting. You're not alone. We're right here with you, every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.
