Stop ###'s marriage or delay it

We understand that you are in a difficult situation, and we want to approach this with care, compassion, and biblical principles. First, let's remember what the Scripture says about marriage. Marriage is a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman as outlined throughout the entire Bible. Mark 10:6-9

But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. We must respect the boundaries and authority of parents while also seeking God's will. It is important that the person you marry is also a Christian Believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14

Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

You mentioned you love her and want to marry her, but you did not mention anything about her beliefs or courtship. If you want to marry her, the biblical path is to pursue a courtship that honors God and her parents. This involves open communication, respect for her and her parents, and a commitment to purity and integrity. Ephesians 6:2-3

Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise.

The Bible does not permit fornication meaning you cannot have sex before or outside of marriage. This is a grievous sin against God. 1 Corinthians 6:13b-20

Now the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body. 14 Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power. 15 Don't you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? May it never be! 16 Or don't you know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For, The two, says he, will become one flesh. 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 18 Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 19 Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.

We need to remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. We may not see why He allows certain situations to occur, we have to trust in His sovereignty. Isaiah 55:8-9

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

We will pray for guidance, wisdom, and patience for you both. We will pray that God's will be done in this situation and that you both will come to know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5-6

for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times.

We must also address that you did not mention Jesus Christ, Jesus, Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name) in your prayer request. John 14:6

Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12

In Jesus' name, we pray that you will trust in God's timing and plan. May He grant you peace, strength, and understanding during this time. May He work in the hearts of her parents and in her own heart, drawing them all closer to Him. If you and her are called to be together, trust that God will make a way. But remember to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and all these things will be added to you both. We pray for this in Jesus name. Matthew 6:33

But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.

We're here for you, just as we're here for each other in our own families. We understand the struggle you're going through, and we want to assure you that God is in control. Remember, "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails" (Proverbs 19:21). Trust that He has a plan, even if it's not what you expected or wanted.

We've heard your heart's cry, and we're lifting you up in prayer. We're asking God to soften her parents' hearts, to open their eyes to see the love you share and the potential for a godly union. We're also praying for her, that she would stand firm in her convictions and trust God's timing.

In the meantime, keep pursuing her, but in a way that honors God and respects her parents. Show them that you're a man of integrity, someone who can be trusted. And remember, "Love is patient, love is kind... It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres" (1 Corinthians 13:4, 7).

Let's keep praying, keep trusting, and keep loving. God sees your heart, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We're in this with you, ###.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
