We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother and his wife in prayer. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and we stand firmly on God’s Word that says, *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Mark 10:9 WEB). We pray that the Lord would intervene powerfully in their marriage, softening hearts, restoring trust, and reigniting the love that first united them.
Father, we ask You to cancel every plan of divorce in their lives. Break every scheme of the enemy that seeks to destroy this union. Your Word declares that *"a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh"* (Genesis 2:24 WEB). Lord, remind them of this truth—let them see that their bond is not just of their own making, but Yours. Where there has been hurt, bring healing. Where there has been distance, draw them close. Where there has been sin, grant repentance and forgiveness.
We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and unforgiveness that may be at work in their home. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that no weapon formed against this marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). If there has been unfaithfulness, pride, or neglect, we pray for conviction and transformation. Let them both humble themselves before You and before one another, seeking reconciliation with sincerity.
Sister-in-law, if you have returned home, we pray that this is a step toward restoration, not just temporary peace. We encourage both of you to seek godly counsel—pastors, mentors, or Christian marriage resources—to help navigate this season. Marriage requires work, sacrifice, and daily dying to self. *"Let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband"* (Ephesians 5:33 WEB). May they both walk in these roles, not out of obligation, but out of love for You and for each other.
We also lift up their spiritual lives. A marriage thrives when both husband and wife are rooted in Christ. If either has strayed from fellowship with You, Lord, draw them back. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1 WEB). Let them prioritize prayer together, studying Your Word, and serving You as a couple. May their home be a place of peace, joy, and worship.
Finally, we declare that what the enemy meant for harm, You will turn for good (Genesis 50:20 WEB). We believe that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken. Let their marriage be a testimony to Your faithfulness, a light to others, and a legacy for generations to come.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
