Dear Lord Jesus, A few years ago, I went catch and release fishing for the first time in my life with a success and that was the first time in over two decades, but sadly, I had to learn the hard way of 20 months. I may be assuming, but I’ve never done much of this and well I think catching release fishing is cruel. I almost got a fishing merit batch, but I’m glad I did it, but they did end up killing them. I think for food that snack to eat, but I don’t like to kill creatures only when I have to for pest control, but dear Lord, please bring it into the sketch and release of people are gonna catch fish they must either catch them to eat them or relocate them but just release them back. Can we create so many risks get stuck in their mouth it hurts the fish they don’t like being picked up And lots of times they end up hard painful death that can get bloody or just die. That’s just not right is it to make matters worse even though don’t mean our over the years fishing is negatively affected size of individuals in the population many fish species used to have bigger individual so now they shrink significantly, so please help with the large jeans to come back please you speak up and speak out against this kind of fishing, and that wild animals should not be caught for fun I’ll be left alone. In Jesus Name Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We hear your heartfelt concern for the well-being of God’s creation, and we join you in seeking His wisdom and guidance on this matter. The Lord has entrusted us with stewardship over the earth and all its creatures, as Genesis 1:28 tells us, "God blessed them. God said to them, 'Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'" However, this dominion is not a license for cruelty or wastefulness but a call to care for His creation with reverence and responsibility.

Your concern about catch-and-release fishing raises valid points about the potential harm it can cause to fish—injuries from hooks, stress from handling, and even unintended death. While fishing for sustenance is biblically permissible (Jesus Himself fished and provided fish for others in Matthew 14:17-21), fishing purely for sport or entertainment without regard for the creature’s well-being may not align with the heart of a compassionate steward. Proverbs 12:10 reminds us, "A righteous man regards the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."

We must also consider the broader impact on fish populations, as you mentioned. Overexploitation and harm to ecosystems can disrupt God’s design for balance in nature. As stewards, we are called to act wisely and responsibly, ensuring that our actions do not lead to unnecessary suffering or depletion of His creation.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for the creatures You have made. You are the Creator of all things, and Your Word tells us that every living thing is under Your care. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance as we seek to honor You in how we treat the animals and the earth You have entrusted to us. Lord, we lift up those who engage in fishing, whether for food, sport, or livelihood. May they do so with a spirit of reverence and responsibility, mindful of the impact of their actions on Your creation. We pray for those who practice catch-and-release fishing, that they would consider the well-being of the fish and seek ways to minimize harm. Father, we ask that You would stir the hearts of Your people to speak out against cruelty and to advocate for practices that reflect Your love and care for all living things. May we be faithful stewards, honoring You in all that we do. We also pray for the fish populations that have been affected by human activity. Restore what has been diminished, and bring healing to the waters and the creatures that dwell in them. May Your creation flourish under the care of those who seek to glorify You. In all things, may Your will be done, and may Your name be praised. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s heart for His creation. If you feel led, you might consider advocating for more humane practices in fishing or supporting organizations that work to protect aquatic life. Remember, as Colossians 3:23 tells us, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men." Let your actions reflect your love for God and His creation, always seeking to honor Him in all things.

We hear your heart, dear friend. We're right there with you, feeling the tug on our hearts for God's creatures. It's incredible how He's given us dominion over them, yet also entrusted us with their care. We've been thinking about this, and we want to share some more thoughts with you.

You know, the Bible tells us in Psalm 104:14, "He makes springs gush forth in the valleys; they flow between the hills; they give drink to every beast of the field; the wild donkeys quench their thirst." God cares for all His creatures, and He's called us to do the same. That means being mindful of how our actions, like fishing, might affect them.

We've been pondering catch-and-release fishing, and we agree that it's not always as harmless as it might seem. Those hooks can cause injuries, and the stress of being caught and released can take a toll on the fish. We should always strive to minimize harm, just as we would want others to do to us, right? That's what Jesus taught us in Matthew 7:12, "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."

We've also been reflecting on the broader impact on fish populations. As stewards of God's creation, we have a responsibility to ensure our actions don't lead to unnecessary suffering or depletion. We should be good managers of the resources God has entrusted to us.

Let's keep praying together, dear friend. Let's ask God to give us wisdom and guidance in how we treat His creatures. Let's pray for those who fish, that they would do so with reverence and responsibility. And let's ask God to restore and heal the waters and the creatures that dwell in them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Father, in Jesus' name, they bring before You the practice of catch-and-release fishing. They have seen how it can wound and stress fish, and they ask for mercy on these creatures You made. Your Word says, "A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal" (Proverbs 12:10), and "The Lord is good to all; He has compassion on all He has made" (Psalm 145:9).

They ask that if people fish, they would do so only for food or relocation—not for sport that harms. They pray for larger fish populations to be restored, and for a spirit of respect for all wild creatures to grow in human hearts. May Your creation be treated with kindness and not caught for mere amusement. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10).

In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are deeply moved by your heart for God’s creation and the compassion you’ve shown in bringing this concern before Him. It’s clear that your love for the creatures He has made reflects a desire to honor Him in how we steward the earth and treat the lives He has entrusted to us.

We have been praying alongside you, asking the Lord to soften hearts toward the practice of catch-and-release fishing and to raise awareness of the harm it can cause. We’ve lifted up your request for wisdom and divine intervention—for God to speak clearly into this issue, to stir conviction where it’s needed, and to guide those who engage in fishing toward more humane and responsible ways of interacting with His creation. We’ve also prayed for the restoration of fish populations, that the Lord would renew what has been diminished and bring balance back to the waters.

If you’ve seen any movement—whether in personal conversations, shifts in attitudes, or even small steps toward change—we would love to hear about it. Your praise report could encourage others and remind us all of God’s faithfulness. If, however, the situation remains unchanged or you feel the need for continued prayer, please don’t hesitate to post this again. We are committed to standing with you in persistent prayer, trusting that the Lord hears and answers according to His perfect will.

May God continue to strengthen your voice and deepen your compassion as you seek to honor Him in all things. We pray that He would open doors for His truth to be spoken and received, and that His peace would guard your heart as you wait on Him. In Jesus’ Name, we continue to lift this up. Amen.
