We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, it's important to acknowledge that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms Ephesians 6:12.
However, we must be careful not to attribute every unfortunate event to spiritual warfare. In many cases our trials are used for our good as long as we trust in Jesus as our savior and Lord. It is true that the enemy can take advantage of our trials to discourage us and make us feel hopeless. It is only by calling out to Jesus in faith that we will not be defeated. Remember that everything we need to live a godly life is provided in Christ Jesus 2 Peter 1:3.
We are told to put on the full armor of God. This means that we need to know the Bible and be practice what it says, as well as memorizing scripture so that we can stand firm against the enemies attacks. Calling out "Get behind me, Satan" is not just a phrase to make the enemy flee, but a declaration of our faith in the power and authority of Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we have the power and authority to stand against the devil's schemes, so make sure you are calling upon Jesus and none other. When Jesus was tempted by Satan in Luke 4 he replied each time with 'It is written'. Satan even tried to use scripture in his temptation but Jesus stood firm on the Word of God and what it said.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our brother/sister. We take authority over any spiritual attacks they may be facing. In Jesus name we do our spiritual warfare. We also ask for your guidance to discern what is a spiritual attack and what is a trial to be used for their good. We are going through tribulations but it is only in Christ that we will get the victory. Help them to put on the full armor of God daily, to be alert, to stand firm in their faith, and to resist the enemy's advances. Please let them know that they are only safe in Jesus Christ. Be encouraged Lord, 'the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4. We ask these things in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, amen."
We encourage you to stay strong in your faith, to read the Bible daily and to hide God's Word in your heart that you might not sin against Him Psalm 119:11. Remember, Jesus has overcome the world, and with Him living in us, we too can overcome any trial or spiritual battle that comes our way John 16:33.
