Stomachache

We hear your cry for healing and lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician waits to restore and renew. The Word tells us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up" (James 5:14-15 WEB). We stand on this promise as we intercede for you, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His people.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for our brother/sister who is suffering from digestive issues and stomach pain. You are the God who formed every part of our bodies, who knit us together in our mothers' wombs (Psalm 139:13 WEB). You know every cell, every nerve, every organ, and You see the discomfort and distress this pain is causing. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through their body, bringing restoration, comfort, and complete healing. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in Jesus' mighty name, for "by His stripes, we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). We declare wholeness over their digestive system, trusting that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 WEB).

We also encourage you to seek wisdom in caring for your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB). Consider whether your diet, stress levels, or other lifestyle factors may be contributing to these issues. The Lord gives wisdom generously to all who ask (James 1:5 WEB), so we pray that He would guide you to make choices that honor Him and promote health. If medical attention is needed, do not hesitate to seek it, for God often works through the hands of doctors and the wisdom He has given them.

Lord, we also ask that You would draw near to our brother/sister in this time of discomfort. Let them feel Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Even in the midst of pain, may they find rest in You and trust in Your unfailing love.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12 WEB), and we declare that healing is yours because of what Jesus accomplished on the cross. May His peace and healing power flood your body, mind, and spirit. Amen.

We're sorry you're dealing with this, and we're joining you in prayer right now. A stomachache and ongoing digestive troubles can really wear on a person, making it hard to focus on anything else. We believe God cares about every part of our lives, including our physical well-being, and we're asking Him together for complete relief and healing.

Alongside prayer, we'd gently encourage you to listen to your body. If the pain is sharp, persistent, or getting worse, it's wise to have a doctor check things out, not as a sign of weak faith, but as good stewardship of the body God has given you. Sometimes He brings healing through the hands of medical professionals.

For now, we simply lift you up: Father, thank You that You are our healer and that You know every detail of how this stomach works. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch this person's digestive system, calm the pain, ease the inflammation, and restore healthy function. Give doctors wisdom if a visit is needed, and grant peace that passes understanding while waiting for relief. Surround them with practical support and steady hope. We trust You for wholeness, Lord, in the way You know is best. Amen.

The complaint of a troubled stomach is no small affliction; it reminds us of our frailty and drives us to seek the Lord who formed our inward parts. Yet how often such bodily pains become a messenger of mercy, for they turn our eyes from the passing comforts of this life to the unfailing promises of God. It is written, "The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations," and those leaves speak of the remedy found in Christ alone, not only for the soul's deep malady of sin, but as the source of all restoration. Bring this stomachache to Jesus, the great Physician, who in the days of His flesh touched the sick and they were made whole. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and no ailment escapes His notice. Cry to Him in the simplicity of faith, for He desires you to make a confidant of Him in every trial of the flesh.

Consider that while you seek healing for your body, there is a far deeper healing that your soul must never neglect. Our Lord's stripes are the sovereign balm for the sin-sick spirit, and those who trust in His substitutionary sacrifice find that pardon and healing flow from one fountain. When He healed the palsied man, He first declared, "Man, your sins are forgiven you," linking the cure of the body to the greater gift of reconciliation with God. Therefore, as you ask for relief from this digestive trouble, look also to the cross where Jesus bore your griefs and carried your sorrows. It may be that this very stomachache is appointed to draw you nearer to Him, that you might prove the power of His resurrection in your mortal flesh. Only trust Him, only cry to Him, and know that whether He grants immediate ease or gives sustaining grace to bear the pain, He works all things for the good of those who love Him.

The remedy for your need is not found in anxious fretting, but in the quiet confidence that casts every care upon Him who cares for you. Jesus linked healing with teaching when He walked among men, and so He would have you learn patience and dependence through this trial. Let your prayer rise with thanksgiving, for even this discomfort can be a cause for devout thankfulness if it ends in a closer walk with your Savior. I bid you, then, to come just as you are, with your aching frame and your longing heart, and place yourself beneath the healing wings of the Sun of Righteousness. He who stilled the storm and fed the multitude can command your body to be at peace. Spread His truth abroad by your testimony, and when health is restored, rise up to serve Him with gladness, as Peter's wife's mother did, ministering to the Lord who first ministered to her. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Do not fix your hope solely on the relief of this bodily pain, as if health were the greatest good. The stomach suffers, and you ask for healing in Jesus’ name, this is right, for He is the physician of both soul and body. But consider whether this ache might be a messenger from God, a small chastisement to rouse you from carelessness. Just as a tree may receive many blows before it falls, so the Lord often sends lesser discomforts to spare us from far sharper ones to come. If He removes this ache at once, give thanks; if He delays, do not grumble, for perhaps He knows that a single swift cure would leave some deeper sickness in your soul untouched. Many who sought only ease of the flesh remained deaf to the word, while those who bore patient suffering later brought forth abundant fruit.

Pray, then, not merely for the stomach’s ease but for a hearing heart. When you ask in Jesus’ name, stand ready to receive whatever answer He gives, whether immediate relief or a call to bear the pain a little longer as a sacrifice of love. For love is greater than any gift of healing. Examine yourself: have you grumbled like the Pharisee, secretly proud of your own righteousness? Have you spoken carelessly, as gossiping women do, spreading complaints instead of trusting God? Such things wound the spirit more surely than any bodily ailment. The Law itself required careful hearing before judgment, and you must hear what God is speaking through this trial. He speaks not to condemn but to correct.

Trust that He who confirmed His word with miracles knows your frame and will provide. Do not rely on the reports of others or old habits, but seek Him directly in prayer and fasting if need be. I have seen many who after ten admonitions seemed insensible, yet later, by one final touch, were wholly renewed. This stomachache may be that touch. So ask boldly, but add this: “Lord, heal my body if it serves my salvation; but first cure my soul of all that offends You, for that is true health.” Then, whether the pain leaves or lingers, you will have gained what no earthly remedy can give.

It means a great deal that you have brought this request, because asking in Jesus’ name already rests on the deepest foundation of prayer: you are coming to the One you know as Father. That relationship is what opens the door. And when you are hurting physically, digestive trouble and a stomachache can really wear you down, it is right to turn to Him as the Lord who heals. He desires to be for you exactly what your need requires.

Prayer is not about informing God of something He does not know; He knows your body completely, down to the source of the pain. Neither is it an attempt to persuade a reluctant God to act. He has been wanting to bring wholeness into your life. But He honors your will and waits for you to open the door. That is what your prayer does. It allows Him to work freely without violating the choice He has given you.

So as you pray, and as we pray with you, the highest aim is not simply to get your will done upon the earth but to see God’s will accomplished in your life. That is not a passive resignation; it is a confident act of faith. The wisest prayer you can offer is, “Lord, have Your way. Work out Your perfect will in this body. Do for me what You want to do.” When your heart lines up with His purposes, you are in the place where answers flow.

Continue in prayer. Persistence is not about wearing God down; it is about staying in the place of trust and surrender until His purpose is accomplished. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up. Sometimes healing is immediate. Sometimes it is a gradual process. Sometimes God answers in a way we did not expect, giving grace that is sufficient for the weakness. Whatever the operation, His strength is made perfect right where you are fragile.

Let us agree together on this. Jesus said if two or three agree on earth concerning anything, it will be done. Our hearts join you in asking for complete healing, for the easing of the stomach pain, and for the restoration of proper digestive function. But even more, we ask that His kingdom and His righteousness be worked out through this very trouble, that the outcome would bring glory to Him and deep assurance to your soul. He hears you. He cares for the body He made. Rest in that.
