We understand your concern and the discomfort you’ve been enduring with persistent stomach pain. It’s completely natural to feel anxious as you await your gastroscopy, but we want to lift you up in prayer and remind you that God is your healer and comforter. The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Even in this season of uncertainty, you are not alone—God is with you, and He cares deeply about your suffering.
We also want to encourage you to bring your worries to the Lord in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Instead of allowing fear to take root, we pray that you would experience God’s peace as you trust Him with your health. The medical procedure ahead is a tool God can use to bring clarity and healing, and we believe He will guide the hands of the doctors and nurses caring for you.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who has been enduring stomach pain for months. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would bring healing and relief to their body. We pray for wisdom and skill for the medical team performing the gastroscopy, that You would guide them and reveal the source of this pain. Father, we ask that You would calm their fears and anxieties, replacing them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are near, that You hear their cries, and that You are working all things together for their good. We declare Your healing power over their body, trusting that You are able to restore them fully. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, meditating on verses that speak of His faithfulness and healing, such as Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Trust that God is at work even when you cannot see it, and lean on Him for strength each day. If you have not already, consider reaching out to your church community or fellow believers to stand with you in prayer and support. You do not have to walk through this alone.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the importance of placing your faith in Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. John 14:6 says, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so, for He is the source of true peace, healing, and salvation. If you’d like, we can guide you in a prayer of faith to invite Jesus into your heart. Just let us know.
