We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this request for healing from stomach bloating and pain. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We ask that You would touch this body with Your healing hand, bringing relief from discomfort and restoring health where there is distress.
Lord, Your Word tells us that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We claim that promise today, believing that You are able to ease this suffering and bring complete restoration. We pray that You would guide the hands of any medical professionals involved, giving them wisdom and discernment as they seek to bring healing. May this time of trial draw this dear one closer to You, reminding them of Your faithfulness and love.
We also take a moment to rebuke any spirit of infirmity or disease that may be at work. In the name of Jesus, we command any sickness to leave this body and declare that it is the Lord’s will for this one to walk in divine health. We know that Your Word says that Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses (Matthew 8:17), and we stand on that truth today.
Father, we ask that You would also examine the heart and life of this one who is suffering. Sometimes, physical ailments can be a call to repentance or a sign of deeper spiritual needs. If there is any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness, we pray that You would bring it to light and grant the grace to turn away from it. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). May this time of healing be a time of spiritual renewal as well.
We also want to gently remind this dear one that our prayers and faith must always be rooted in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or healed (Acts 4:12). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are made whole. If this request has been made without acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Salvation is found in no one else, and we pray that you would come to know Him as your Savior and Healer.
Lord, we also pray for protection over this one’s body, mind, and spirit. Guard them from further illness and strengthen their faith as they wait on You. Remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May they find comfort in Your presence and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We declare that this one is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and we speak life and health over every part of their body. May the God of hope fill them with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, they may abound in hope (Romans 15:13).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
