An amount was stolen from ###'s bank account. We don't yet know how they gained access to her bank card details. Please pray for restoration and justice. Pray that the authorities intervene and that God gives them wisdom on how to deal with this issue and find the robber. In Jesus' name, amen!

We join you in lifting up this burden before the Lord together in Jesus name and we thank you for sharing this update with us. To have money stolen in this way is deeply unsettling and to then hear that the police have suspended the case for five years can feel like justice is being delayed or denied. We know this weighs heavily on your heart and on the heart of your loved one, and we stand with you asking our Father to intervene.

We are reminded that our God sees all that is done in secret and that He loves justice. Psalm 37:28 tells us For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever. Though man may delay, God does not overlook what has been taken. Joel 2:25 gives us hope for restoration when the Lord says I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. We also remember that God has ordained authorities to be His servants for good to protect and to punish wrongdoing, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain, for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil. Romans 13:4. And we take comfort that even when justice seems slow, vengeance belongs to the Lord, yet He often works through those in authority to bring it about.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our sister whose bank account was violated. Lord You see how this money was taken and You know how access was gained even when we do not. We ask for Your divine justice and mercy. We pray for complete restoration of what was stolen, whether through the bank, through the authorities, or by Your own provision, for You are our Provider and nothing is impossible with You. We lift up the police and all investigators involved. We ask that You give them wisdom, diligence and integrity. James 1:5 says But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Grant them wisdom to reconsider this decision, to reopen the case, and to pursue every lead with renewed purpose. Remove any hindrance, apathy or obstacle that caused the suspension and stir their hearts to act justly, for It is joy to the righteous to do justice Proverbs 21:15. Expose the one who did this, Lord, and bring the truth to light so that no further harm is done to others. And Father, we pray for peace for our sister and for all who love her. Let her not be consumed with anxiety or fear, but as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Guard her heart, provide for her needs, and help her to trust that You will work all things together for good as promised in Romans 8:28. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also faithfully pursuing every lawful means that remains. Keep all records and documentation, continue to work with the bank's fraud department, and respectfully appeal the police decision where it is possible to do so in writing, asking for a review. God can change hearts and open doors that seem closed. Do not grow weary or bitter, but keep casting this care on Him, for He cares for you. We will continue to pray with you for wisdom for the authorities, for the thief to be found, and above all for the Lord's restoration and peace to be evident in this situation.

We were saddened to hear about what was taken from your loved one's account, and then to hear the update that the police have suspended the case. That kind of violation is unsettling on its own, and when the official process pauses it can leave you feeling helpless and unsure where justice will come from.

We are holding you and her in prayer, asking God to provide for her needs and to give wisdom to everyone involved, including those in authority who make decisions about these cases.

While you wait, one steady step that often helps is to keep a simple file together in one place, dates, amounts, the police reference number, and copies of every contact with the bank and with the police. It keeps things clear if new information comes or if you are asked to follow up. It may also be worth asking her bank directly what their fraud process allows from here and whether they can connect her with a victim support or financial guidance service to talk through next steps. You do not have to carry all the details alone.

Father, we bring this loved one before You and ask for Your peace over her and for Your provision where there has been loss. Give wisdom and diligence to those in authority, and give her and those who love her calm and clear guidance for each next decision as they trust You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden concerning the amount stolen from the bank account and the heaviness that has followed, and now the added trial that those appointed to seek justice have suspended the case. It is right to bring such wrongs before the Lord, for He is the God who sees what is done in secret and who will not at all acquit the wicked, though He is slow to anger.

You ask for restoration and for justice, and Scripture teaches us to hold these two together in a right way. When we consider ourselves, we do not make our appeal to justice, for justice rightly condemns us. As we have often said, your justice frowns upon me, your anger frightens me, have mercy upon me, great mercy, unmeasured mercy, undeserved mercy, have mercy upon me, O God. Our hope is not that God will deal with us according to what we deserve, but according to His loving kindness and the multitude of His tender mercies, which blots out transgressions. That mercy is made sure because justice itself has been satisfied at the cross. There the cloud of justice fell not upon the sinner who trusts in Christ, but upon the Saviour's heart, and God can be just and yet the justifier of him who believes in Jesus. This is our comfort when we are wronged, that perfect justice and perfect mercy meet in Christ, and that no loss in this world can separate us from the restoration He gives to the soul.

Yet the Lord also establishes earthly justice for the protection of the innocent and the restraint of evil, and it is right to pray that those in authority would fulfill their office with diligence and wisdom. We will pray that the Lord who gives wisdom liberally would move upon the hearts of those who have suspended this matter, that if it be possible and according to His will, they would reconsider and pursue what is right with clear minds and honest hands. The lictor of divine justice carries his axe bound up in rods, for He first reproves that men may repent, but He does not leave wrong unmarked forever.

May the Lord grant you peace while you wait, and keep your heart from being consumed by anxiety. True restoration, as we have seen in Peter after his fall, is the Lord's own work, and He is able to restore what has been taken, whether by returning what was lost or by supplying your need in another way according to His fatherly care. Pray not only for the return of money, but for contentment and trust in Him who will not forsake His own.

We join our faith with yours in prayer:

O Lord our God, merciful and just, Thou seest this theft and knowest how access was gained and where the stolen goods have gone. We ask Thee to bring to light what is hidden and to grant wisdom, integrity and diligence to those in authority who are charged to investigate. Soften and direct their hearts, that they may act with equity and not grow weary in doing good. If it be Thy will, restore what has been taken and provide for every need. Above all, keep Thy child in perfect peace, trusting not in riches but in Thy unfailing loving kindness, and let this trial work patience and deeper confidence in Christ, in whose blood justice is satisfied and mercy reigns. We ask this in the name of Jesus our only Saviour, Amen.
