Standing in the Storms of Life

Dear Heavenly Father,

Although some circumstances and situations are devastating, there are always things to thank you for. Thank you for my heart and the understanding I gain of you each day. Thank you for sending your son to be the sacrifice on my behalf. Thank you for forgiving me, time and time again. I praise you Lord all the days of my life! I lift up the storms in life that cause worry, frustration, and doubt, the storms that try and knock us down. Thank you for giving us the ability to stand in those times, in faith and confidence that you are with us! Please equip husbands and wives with the ability to withstand any storms in their marriages. May they result in a transformed character and a bond that is everlasting. For those that feel crippled by storms, please reveal yourself to them Lord, reminding them that you are with them. May the peace of God overwhelm us and fill our hearts with joy amidst adversity in Jesus Name Amen!

Freedom from being Overwhelmed:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray for everyone feeling overwhelmed right now. The burden of being overwhelmed is such a hinderance and it steals our joy. Please free us from feeling overwhelmed! We come humbly before you today interceding for broken marriages. Unions between husbands and wives that have been severed, split apart, burdened, or crushed. We pray that you would give them peace of mind and in their hearts. Peace that comforts them. Fill them with hope to see their relationships restored, and show them how it will happen. Show them the changes and adjustments that need to be made and give them the strength and self-discipline to make them. Set their hearts on fire with passion and desire to do what needs to be done to keep the covenant they made to their spouse and you. Rebuilding Intimacy in Marriage:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Intimacy can be so challenging in marriage for so many reasons. Husbands and wives experience droughts of intimacy because of issues such as tension, lack of time, interference of little ones, forgetfulness, lack of interest, etc. No matter why couples are not intentionally being intimate, you created us to have a need to be intimate, and when that doesn’t occur with a spouse, the temptation for it elsewhere arises. We pray that you would help us to initiate and rebuild intimacy in our marriages. We pray that we would understand intimacy better, the need you designed us with, and the importance of how it promotes oneness in marriage. Please Lord help us get past the initial obstacles that keep us from intimacy, granting us the courage and the motivation to be intentional in our marriages in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Heavenly Father,

I am so sorry for my actions. I humble myself before you. I ask for forgiveness of my sins and I repent. Please give me the strength to not go back to it and the ability to flee when I am tempted. Lord, you are the only master worth serving! I desire to be righteous as you are righteous. Thank you for sacrificing your son as an atonement for my sins so that I may be covered. Dear Father God,

We lift up to you any relationship that is severed, separated, depressed, or burdened. There are many couples dealing with such heavy issues such as infidelity, financial insecurity, violence, abuse, or mistrust. Their hearts are broken in pieces and hope may be dwindling. We pray that you meet them where they are. Holy Spirit please comfort them, restore them, fill their hearts with hope for better days. Strengthen their faith and stir up confidence. We pray for the abusers, oppressors, liars, cheater, and irresponsible asking that you would humble them, give them understanding, and change them. Restore these couples and bring newness to their life. Show them how to rebuild on your foundation. We hope and pray for reconciliation and that those who experience a reconnection, would approach life through your ways, loving and respecting their spouse in Jesus name AMEN!

I am so sorry you are going through this. My husband and I are forced to live in separate residences as well for the time being. It is so heart breaking when that happens. He has our two children. It is partly because our youngest was born with his frenulum needing to be trimmed, and was diagnosed late- at 6 weeks of age. He had a tube in his nose for 6 weeks, and caught up his weight, but started lagging behind again. I tried to feed him as much food as I could, but he was more willing to eat more when my husband fed him. I really tried to feed him as well as I could. His dr is blaming me because he does not like mothers who nurse their babies past 12 months. It is my right to still feed him that way (as extra nourishment)- as it does also have a lot of benefit. I miss my Husband and children very much. May God bring you and your wife back together, and my husband and I back together.
