Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for allowing us to pray with you. The pain of being left without explanation and living for more than a year in this kind of waiting and ghosting is deep, and it is understandable that it still feels as raw as the day it happened. Feeling thrown away and confused while also wanting to remain faithful to what you believe the Lord has spoken is a heavy burden to carry.

We hear your commitment to your marriage covenant. Scripture teaches that marriage is a bond ordained by God and that it is honorable and to be held in high esteem. It is meant to preserve holiness and to reflect faithfulness, which is why the waiting season you are in matters so much. God sees your faithfulness in this painful place and He values you as His beloved child. Your worth is not defined by being left or by silence, but by being fully loved and cherished by Christ, who will never cast you aside.

It is also understandable that you feel confused seeing your spouse continue to lead in church while your home remains divided. The Bible does teach that those who lead should have their own household in order, and that qualification is for elders to prayerfully consider. That part is not your burden to correct. Your part is to keep your own walk with the Lord clear, to pursue peace with all people and holiness, and to entrust judgment and leadership matters to your pastors and elders.

You asked when to give up and whether you have been released. Scripture holds two truths together. On one hand there is real hope that God can reclaim and restore what is broken, and the faithful prayer and godly life of one spouse can be a powerful witness to the other. On the other hand, if a spouse chooses to depart and remain apart, the one who remains is not under bondage to force reconciliation. That does not mean you must make a quick decision now. It does mean you are free to seek wise, mature counsel in your local church, to bring your elders into your situation, and to ask them to help you discern how long to wait and how to walk with both grace and truth. Waiting on the Lord is not passive. It is an active season to be devoted to prayer, to good works, to fellowship with the saints, and to using your time with purpose rather than letting it be consumed only by sorrow.

You mentioned prophecies and words that you wrote down about your ministry becoming larger and about being a gift to one another. Hold fast to this: God cannot lie and His written Word is sure. Any word spoken over you should be tested by Scripture and submitted to the wisdom of faithful leaders. It is good that you wrote down what you believed the Lord spoke, as you were instructed, so you can stand on His promises. At the same time, keep your stand anchored first in what Scripture clearly promises, that God is faithful, that He works all things for good for those who love Him, and that He can redeem suffering for His glory. Whether restoration comes in the way you hope or in another way God chooses, He can still use your faithfulness to show many people His love.

For this next season, continue to bring your hurt honestly to the Lord in prayer, remain chaste and faithful within your covenant, and do not pursue what would compromise holiness. Receive the weekly financial help with gratitude but with clear boundaries and counsel, and avoid reading more into silence than is there. Stay planted in your church community, let others support you, and ask the Lord daily what He is asking you to do today, to love Him, to serve others, and to walk in obedience one step at a time.

We will pray with you in agreement for what the Lord is doing.

Father, we thank You that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and that You are faithful to every promise You have made. We lift up this marriage to You. You know the pain, the confusion, and the long silence. Comfort this dear one who feels thrown away and remind them that they are deeply valued and secure in Christ. Grant clarity and wisdom to know what You are asking in this time, and give strength to wait well, to pursue peace and holiness, and to walk in faithful obedience each day. We pray for the spouse who has left, that You would work in their heart, bring conviction where it is needed, draw them closer to Yourself, and lead them to walk in truth and repentance. We ask for godly counsel to surround both, for elders to shepherd well, and for Your will to be done in this marriage. Whether by restoration or by Your sovereign leading in another direction, let Your name be glorified and let this life bear witness to Your love to many. Give peace that passes understanding and hope that does not disappoint. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Please continue to stay connected to your pastors and to trusted believers who can walk with you closely in this season. We are continuing to pray for you.
