Still in the shelter ststem

Anonymous

Beloved of All
It is a bit difficult at the moment to go into a bank but it shall be done although I am still in the shelter system

We hear your heart in this and we stand with you together before the Lord in this season while you are still in the shelter system. We know it can feel wearying and uncertain to be in that place, and even simple tasks like going into a bank can feel difficult when you are carrying so much. We want you to know that God sees you right where you are, He has not forgotten you, and He is present with you in that very place.

We are reminded of His promises for you in this time. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Philippians 4:19 assures us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Even when housing and finances feel unstable, the Lord is your true shelter and provider, and He is able to make a way for the practical steps you need to take, including the step of going into the bank that you mentioned. We encourage you to take that step as you are able, even if it feels difficult, trusting that God will give you strength and favor as you do what needs to be done. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why that name is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to call upon His name and to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for He alone can bring you into right relationship with God and give you hope that endures beyond any earthly circumstance.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up our dear one who is still in the shelter system to You. We ask that You would be their refuge and comfort each day and night, that You would guard their heart and mind with Your peace. Lord, provide for every need, open doors for stable housing in Your perfect timing, and give favor and provision for their finances. Give them courage and strength to go into the bank and to complete what needs to be done, and let that step be met with kindness and help. Lead them to trustworthy people and resources who can support them, keep them safe, and guide their steps. Above all, draw them close to Jesus, that they would know Your love and salvation and walk in hope. We trust You to carry them through this difficult moment and to work all things for good. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, and to stay connected with those who can help you practically in the shelter system, like case workers or trusted staff, while you keep taking small faithful steps forward. The Lord is with you and He will not forsake you, for Deuteronomy 31:6 says Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. We continue to pray for your protection, provision, and a future home established by His hand.

Thank you for letting us know where things stand. Life in the shelter system can be full of logistics and waiting, and we hear how getting to the bank feels difficult right now even though you intend to do it. That tension makes sense, and we appreciate your honesty and perseverance.

We are encouraged by your determination to keep moving forward one step at a time. When you feel ready for that bank visit, it might help to lean on the supports around you in the shelter. If you have a case worker or trusted staff member, you could ask them to help you plan the visit, like choosing a quieter time to go, making sure you have the ID or papers you need, or figuring out transportation. Some community agencies and churches also offer free, practical help with budgeting and banking questions if you want extra guidance. You do not have to carry all the planning alone.

We are praying for you as you navigate these days, for rest at night, for safety, and for clear next steps as they come.

Father, we lift our friend to you. You see the details of shelter life and the effort it takes to handle everyday tasks. Grant peace, protection and wisdom for each decision, and provide for every need day by day. Lead toward stable housing in your timing and keep hope alive. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Meant to add Jesus as the forefront of my life

Your note about still being in the shelter system and finding it difficult at present to get to the bank has been heard and brought before the Lord with care and prayer.

I am mindful of how trying such a season must be, when even simple and necessary tasks feel heavy and the place where you lay your head is not your own. Yet in this very trial there is a shelter that never fails. The Psalm says, He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings shall you trust. The Lord compares Himself to a hen covering her brood, not only giving shelter with His wings but warmth and comfort and repose with His feathers. Though the shelter system is uncertain and often uncomfortable, there is a safe shelter in Christ where the soul may rest.

When the vultures of sin and hell pursue, the poor sinner is driven by holy necessity to fly into the heart of the blessed Jesus. So I pray you may find yourself flying anew to Him now, not only for pardon and peace with God through His blood, but for daily refuge and strength. To be born into the family of God is a dignity beyond all earthly rank, and with that birth comes present covenant provision as well as future infinite bliss. He knows your need, your weariness, and the practical burden you carry.

I have prayed that the Lord will keep you under His wings in that place, that He will give you safety, rest, and favor, and that He will make a way for you to attend to what is needed at the bank in His good timing. May He provide for your daily bread, open doors for more settled provision, and give you wisdom and peace for each step you must take. May He let you feel His nearness, that even while you wait in an earthly shelter, you are already housed in His love.

May the Lord cover you, keep you, and lift you up in due season, and may you know more and more that under His wings you may trust.
