We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you up these months and we continue to remember you before the Lord.
We thank you for sharing so honestly about how you are still feeling like you are crashing and burning, and for telling us about the two pretty good days you had, especially when you read encouraging words in the morning. We are praying with you about the new friendship that has been starting with the divorcee and her young son, and we understand your caution about not wanting to rush into a romance while you feel your life is falling apart and hitting rock bottom. We are asking God to give you wisdom and peace in that friendship and to guard your heart from another setup for failure, while also thanking Him for the joy and peace you do feel when you talk and lose track of time.
We have also been praying about the very practical burdens you described that have left you feeling discombobulated and trapped, as if a trap door is falling out from under you. We are praying for your car repairs and we thank God with you for your friend back east who offered to pay for those repairs, and we ask the Lord to provide for the follow up work, the front end alignment and the new tires you desperately need before winter comes in ###. We are lifting up your financial needs regarding the Lyft rides and having to use sick days, the storage unit you are locked out of and the possibility of losing your possessions, and the e bike with your neighbor. We ask God to make a way where you feel there is no way and to give you strength and provision day by day.
We hear your honest doubts about whether the promises in the Bible were only for people and tribes in Biblical times, and your feelings that the seas are not being split and mountains are not being moved today, and that even with prayer things do not always work out. We want to gently remind you that His Word says His mercies are new every morning and His promises are still true for us today. We are praying that you will feel His nearness as Psalm 34:18 says the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and that you will find rest as Jesus invites in Matthew 11:28, and that you will be renewed as Isaiah 40:31 promises that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings as eagles. We know you long for more joy, peace, happiness, rest and reassurance that you are moving forward instead of falling backward, and we are asking God to give you that forward movement in His timing. Even when Romans 8:28 is hard to hold onto, we pray you will know that God is still working for good and that He sees you being dragged and feeling like you are in a bottomless pit.
We are concerned when you shared about feeling like laying down to be rolled out to sea and wondering about walking into the storm to be struck by lightning. You are precious to God and to us, and we are praying that you will feel His protection and hope even in the thunderstorms around you. Please continue to reach out and let others walk with you when those thoughts come.
If your request was answered, even in part like the provision for the car or the encouragement of those good days, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, or you are still waiting for breakthrough in these areas, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you and bearing this burden with you.
We pray for you now that the Lord will lift you up, give you His peace that passes understanding, provide for every practical need, and let you feel that you are rising again. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name.
