Stepping Out On a Branch

"I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)

The Bible exhorts us to walk by faith and to trust God. To walk by faith may require stepping out on a branch, to go beyond what is comfortable into situations that have no guaranteed outcome.

Jeremiah 29:11 says… God always has good plans for us that result in "hope and a future." And all God asks is that we trust and obey the guidance given to us in the Bible. Sometimes obedience to God may invite ridicule and it may mean doing something we've never done before, or learning something new, or giving up something we think we cannot live without.

Sometimes obedience to God can take us out on the end of the branch, but in the end it results in a blessing, through God’s promise of “Hope & a Futureâ€!

Trust In Him
