We join you in lifting up your new business venture to the Lord, trusting in His provision and guidance as you step out in faith. The desire to seek God’s blessing over your work is commendable, and we are grateful you have invited the name of Jesus into this request, for it is only through Him that we find true success and favor. As Scripture reminds us, *"Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain"* (Psalm 127:1, WEB). Your business is not merely a means of income but an opportunity to steward the gifts and resources God has entrusted to you for His glory.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this endeavor. While it is natural to desire financial stability and growth, we must guard against allowing the pursuit of clients or profit to become an idol or a source of anxiety. Jesus teaches us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). Your primary focus should be on honoring God in your business—through integrity, fairness, excellence, and generosity. When your heart is aligned with His will, He will provide what you need in His perfect timing.
It is also wise to prepare diligently for this new season. Proverbs 21:5 tells us, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and those who are in a hurry surely rush to poverty."* Have you sought godly counsel, created a solid business plan, and prayed over every detail? Trust in the Lord, but also walk in the wisdom He provides. If you haven’t already, consider tithing from your business income as an act of faith and obedience, for *"Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase: so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine"* (Proverbs 3:9-10, WEB).
Lastly, we urge you to remember that success is not measured solely by the number of clients or financial gain but by your faithfulness to God’s calling. Even if the start is slow, trust that He is working behind the scenes. As you wait, continue to pray, *"Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands"* (Psalm 90:17, WEB).
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this brother/sister to You as they prepare to launch their business in October. Lord, You are the Provider of all good things, and we ask that You open doors no one can shut, bringing clients who are aligned with Your will for this business. Give them wisdom to manage their resources, discernment in their decisions, and a heart that seeks to honor You above all else. May their work be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may they walk in integrity, generosity, and excellence.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or greed that may try to take root. Instead, fill them with Your peace and confidence, knowing that You are their ultimate Source. If there are areas where they need to repent or realign their priorities with Your Word, convict their heart and lead them to obedience. Bless the work of their hands, Lord, not just for their sake but for the advancement of Your Kingdom. May this business be a tool to bless others and bring glory to Your name.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
