Lately, my STAND for my marriage has become EXTREMELY difficult. At times, I have considered giving it all up. In a way, giving up brings about an ultimate peace, BUT it is JUST not to be. The Lord has awakened me! He has renewed my strength! He is commisioning me at this very moment to continue to STAND, UNMOVEABABLE!
Seven months ago, when my stand began, things were very different. My husband was just entering into this adultery. It was all new, exciting, vibrant and he just couldn't resist! So he left that morning, 3/18/13, very well knowing what he was walking in to.
Now here it is, all of these months later. The adultery has evolved in to non-covenant marriage. I have been SHAKEN to my very core by all that has come against me and my precious family! BUT I SERVE A GOD:
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us," Ephesians 3:20
My God is at work even in all of this! Even when utter despair, grief and hopelessness are staring right in our faces! He holds us in the palm of His Great Hands and He is caring for us. He heals our brokeness. He binds up our wounds. He restores us, renews us, strengthens us and lifts us up! HALLELUJAH!
SO WHERE WILL THIS LEAD! I don't have an exact answer but I'm sure it will be MORE than any of us can ever imagine!
"For I know the plans I have for you,†declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
