Standing in the gap for William - join me!

Father,

I make a commitment before You and before my brothers and sisters to pray daily for William for the next 21 days. My hope is that William will be encouraged to know that others are thinking about him and praying for him while he is away from us.

Father,

I ask You to cover William with the blood of Jesus; to fill him with the Holy Spirit; to strengthen him for the journey; to equip him for the tasks ahead. I thank You for this opportunity for William. I thank You for the generosity of William's workplace. I thank You for the availability of the program. I thank You for Your intervention. Lord, You are so loving and so good to us. I praise You for letting this come together for William. I praise You for Your everlasting mercy and grace. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. May this be the beginning of a new and joyous life for William. In the name of Jesus the Christ. Amen.

Lord, Thank you for all of these standing with Joyce in prayer and petition for William. Lord, give him strength each day. Give him a sense of doing the right thing. Lord, I know it won't be easy to get through this first week. His body will have to endure the detox and it won't feel good. Help him every step of the way. May he sense the prayers being lifted on his behalf. May he draw from your mercy and grace to get him through these next 3 weeks. May he emerge victorious! to you be the glory. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

Father, I pray that as we stand in the gap for William, our actions equate to the laying on of hands. Through our prayers and petitions, grant William perfect peace as he submits to Your Will, and makes permanent changes in his life. Help him to feel our "hands" upon him when he is feeling discouraged, weak or defeated. Help him know that our prayers for his healing and strength do not end, but are raised to You in anticipation and belief. Thank You for the new hope William enjoys because of Your mercy and grace. I stand with my brothers and sisters in Christ, lifting William to Your throne. In the name of Jesus, bless each of us and lead us to victory I pray. Amen.
