Hey standers.
I wasnt planning on writing an encouragment today but I felt like the Holy Spirit wanted me to.
This weekend here in Louisiana we are bracing for a big storm, a hurricane actually. This storm reminds me in a way of the major storms that are going on in our marriages and familes right now. The winds are blowing and everything feels out of control but Jesus is our rock and anchor.
Now after this particular storm is over there will be a rebuilding process, just like our marriages. After that rebuilding there will most likely be another storm at some point in our lives, and there will be rebuilding. Just like our marriages. You see everytime there is a storm in our lives Jesus is there to protect us and then rebuild what the storms damage. Just like our marriages.
Jesus is the calmer of storms, both in a literal and figurative sense. Not only is he with us through the storms of sepearation and divorce but he will rebuild what these storms destroy.
Remember to "live by faith and not by site". No matter how big the storm or how much the wind is blowing in your marriage Jesus will calm the winds, pick up the pieces, and rebuild everything on a stronger foundation than before. There is no storm too powerful for Our Lord. Trust Jesus and not how much wind is blowing in your marriage. Jesus calms the storms.

P.s. On a personal note please pray for my wife this weekend. She lives only 30 miles from New Orleans and her Job at the sheriffs office is not allowing her to evacuate. Pray for all families that will be effected by this storm. May Jesus calm the winds.
