SPIRITUALLY DEAD
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. Ephesians 2:1-3
How did you come to know the Lord Jesus Christ personally? All of us, at one time, were spiritually dead, walking on the wrong path of life, accepting the world's standards of morality, until the Lord opened our eyes to see God’s Truths and we confessed and asked for forgiveness of our sins. We repented which means to turn away from our sins and change our behavior and life by asking Jesus Christ to become our Savior and Lord.
This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:22-24
Are you praying every day for your spouse and lost loved ones salvations? It is by God's grace that you and I are saved. At God’s perfect timing the Holy Spirit will give your beloved spouse and unsaved children new hearts, forgiving them of their sins and make them to become new creatures in Christ.
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our LORD. Romans 6:22-23
All who live who are without Christ are controlled by the ruler of the kingdom of the air, Satan. They live by their sinful nature. Their minds are blinded by Satan to the truths of God. They are enslaved to sin and we need to pray daily for God's grace and divine intervention in their life and especially in your spouse’s heart and life.
All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:3-5
What powerful scriptures in Ephesians Chapter 2. You are in a spiritual battle against the enemy of this world, Satan, who is destroying marriages and families around the world. Think of the destruction that is being done to your children’s lives due to your marriage problems and possibly divorce in your life. Satan has been attacking your marriage, your spouse, and even your emotions and feelings, making you think that you cannot wait for the Lord to restore your marriage. What a lie from the devil! That is Satan's subtle tactic in wanting no one to believe in the power of God. Satan was kicked out of Heaven, because He wanted to be greater. Satan is NOT more powerful than your Lord God. That is one of the most common lies that he tries to convince Christians!
I hope you are reading our weekly Saturday Testimonies where you will read about standers who have started communication with their spouses. After that period of time, often the process of healing and the restoration are starting in these couples’ marriages. Our Lord God is faithful to His promises that He gives to you. Never doubt the promises of God.
Walls of hostility are being dissolved, eradicated, and removed in family members’ lives. It happens “suddenly†as standers email us. One day no sign and then the next day the wall of hostility, hatred, and sins of the world are gone.
What walls are you facing today? Are you battling a wall of fear, unbelief, hopelessness, hardness of your own heart? Do not be afraid, trust in your Lord God. Stand firm and believe in the promises of God that He has given you for you and your marriage.
We have many standers who are living with their spouses, praying against separation, who are walking in unconditional love, daily facing walls of circumstances. We have other standers who have had their spouse come home, but they have not surrendered their heart and life to the Lord. Ask your Lord to remove the walls of hostility that are in your marriage forever!
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace, and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Ephesians 2:13-18
May you seek the Prince of Peace for yourself and peace for your marriage. Seek and ask the Lord to give you a new “rhema word†that is a promise for your marriage from the Lord. Now stand firm and believe what the Lord has spoken to you. Your spouse’s heart may be spiritually dead today, but I was given this scripture below for Bob many years ago. May you personalize this scripture for your beloved husband or wife now. What a promise!
“I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him, creating praise on the lips of the mourners in Israel. Peace, peace, to those far and near,†says the LORD. “And I will heal them.†Isaiah 57:18-19
