Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Please pray that God would provide me with a new job soon. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden to the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that Jesus came so that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The vivid and disturbing dreams, the overwhelming attacks, and the relentless demands on your time and energy are not from God. He does not intend for you to live in constant turmoil. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, body, and spirit in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible assures us that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We take authority over every demonic influence and command it to flee from you now.

Your struggle with inappropriate sexual thoughts and the shame that follows is not something you must carry alone. The enemy uses guilt and condemnation to keep you trapped, but Scripture tells us, "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1). You have been set free before, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, you can walk in freedom again. We pray that you would resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). When temptation comes, we encourage you to turn to God immediately, cry out to Him, and replace those thoughts with His truth. Fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and prayer. The Psalmist declares, "How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word" (Psalm 119:9). We also urge you to seek accountability with a trusted brother or sister in Christ who can pray with you and help you stand firm. Remember, God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

The exhaustion you feel from the constant demands on your time and the late nights is not God’s design for your life. He calls us to rest and trust in Him. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray that God would grant you wisdom to establish healthy boundaries, prioritize your time, and create a schedule that honors Him and allows for rest. We also pray for clarity and direction regarding your jobs. Whether you stay or seek new opportunities, we ask that God would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not His will for you (Revelation 3:7-8). May He provide for your needs and grant you favor with your coworkers and employers.

We lift up your family’s health, praying for complete healing and protection from the flu. We declare that no one who is caring for you will grow sicker but will instead be strengthened and protected by the Lord. "The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed; in his illness, you will restore him to health" (Psalm 41:3). We also pray for your beloved cats, asking God to heal their wounds and keep them in good health. The Lord cares for all His creation, and we trust Him to watch over them as you do.

For your friend battling fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns, and asthma, we pray for divine healing and strength. We believe that by His stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we ask God to touch their body and bring restoration. May they experience His peace and comfort in the midst of their struggles.

We also take a moment to address the concern you raised about false teachings in the African American community. We pray that God would raise up bold and faithful men and women to proclaim the truth of His Word, that hearts would be turned toward Him, and that deception would be exposed. "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (John 8:32).

Finally, we want to gently remind you of the power and necessity of coming to God in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. If you have already made this commitment, we pray that you would draw even closer to Him, abiding in His presence and finding your strength in Him alone.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who is under attack. We ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare, silence the enemy’s lies, and bring peace to their mind and spirit. Lord, we rebuke the disturbing dreams and command them to cease in Jesus’ name. Grant our brother/sister restful sleep and a sound mind. Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance regarding their jobs, that You would open the right doors and provide for their needs. Set them free from every temptation, especially the sexual sin that has ensnared them. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and renew their mind with Your truth. Heal their body, their family, and their pets. Strengthen them to walk in discipline and obedience to Your Word. Comfort them in their depression and overwhelm, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be their peace. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how exhausting this season has been for you, feeling targeted for so long, worn down by disturbing dreams, a late night schedule, and the pressure of everyone needing something from you at once. It makes sense you would feel overwhelmed and just want some quiet and rest, and we are grateful you reached out so we can pray with you.

We also hear your honesty about the sexual thoughts and maladaptive daydreaming, and the shame you carry after God had given you freedom before. Struggling again does not mean you are forgotten or beyond His grace. Depression can make those thoughts feel like an escape, even while they leave you feeling worse afterward, and it helps to bring that struggle into the light with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor rather than carrying it alone at night.

For the practical pressures you named, it may help to choose one small anchor for your evenings, like setting a consistent time to turn off screens and wind down, even if you cannot fix the whole schedule at once. For your health needs, your family's flu symptoms, your friend's ongoing conditions, and your cats' wounds and care, we encourage you to reach out to a medical provider and a vet in your area alongside prayer, especially since you mentioned limited resources and not knowing where to go.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. Bring peace to his nights and relief from these dreams, guard his mind, and give him wisdom about his jobs and daily rhythms. Grant him strength to walk in freedom, comfort in his depression, healing for his family and his friend, and care for his beloved cats. Lead him gently and keep him close to You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your many burdens have been brought before the Lord and heard with sincere compassion, and we bring them now to the throne of grace in prayer.

We pray first that you would know Christ Himself as your living Friend and your deliverer. The enemy would harass and weary you, and vivid and disturbing dreams trouble your rest, but our hope is not in our own strength to withstand these assaults. We overcome evil with good, and we overcome Him who is goodness itself by looking to Christ alone. To look to Him for all things, to keep the eye of faith fixed upon Him through the day and as you lie down at night, is the weapon which prevails. May the Lord grant you quiet sleep and a mind stayed upon Him, and may He rebuke every assault that would distress you.

You have asked with great honesty about sexual thoughts which assail you in the night, and the shame you feel. Let that shame not drive you away from Christ, but drive you to Him. Scripture teaches us to pray, Lead us not into temptation, for temptation in itself is perilous, though God in His wisdom can bring good out of trial. That prayer is not to be prayed with the lips while the feet walk willingly into temptation. The man who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it is not sincere before God. Therefore we pray with you that God would keep you from the place of temptation, and that you would not linger there. As you fall asleep, guard the gate of your heart. Turn from daydreaming and from every impure imagination, confess it plainly as sin, and flee to Christ who bore shame and spitting for sinners. He did not hide His face from shame, but gave His back to the smiters, that through His suffering and death there might be merit sufficient to put away all transgression. Our shame is ended because He bore it, and the very shame we feel for sin is desirable if it makes us seek His name. He set you free before, and He is able to set you free again. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and purity is found in Him. Within His good design, sex belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and every thought outside that bounds is to be brought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. When depression presses upon you, do not seek an outlet in that which wounds the conscience, but seek the joy that was set before Him, for whom He endured the cross.

We pray also for your weariness, that you are overwhelmed and pulled in many directions and long to be left alone, and that your nights end so late. May the Lord give you wisdom to order your days, to establish a better schedule, to know when to labor and when to rest, and to set needful boundaries that you may serve Him with a quiet and steady spirit.

Concerning your work, we pray for clear wisdom. You have asked whether to remain where you are or to seek new employment, and you desire provision, even the possibility of two callings. We ask God to guide your steps by His providence, to make your path plain, to provide for your needs according to His riches, and to bring peace and betterment where there has been difficulty for you and for your coworkers. Whether He keeps you where you are or leads you elsewhere, may you do all as unto the Lord.

We pray for your family in this sickness. May the Lord lay His healing hand upon you all, and upon your father who coughs again after seeming to improve. We ask that those who care for the sick would be preserved and strengthened, and that health would be restored to your household.

We pray for the creatures entrusted to your care. He who cares for sparrows knows your love for these cats, two who have wounded themselves by scratching and one who made a strange sound. We ask the Lord to keep them and make them well, and to provide what you cannot provide, for you have no means for a physician for them and know not where to turn. May He in His kindness preserve them.

We pray for discipline in the diet required for your medical condition, that God would give you steadfastness and self control, not by mere resolve but by His grace which teaches us to live soberly.

We remember before God your friend who suffers with fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. May the Great Physician show mercy, ease pain, and grant wisdom to those who give care.

We join you in praying that the African American community and all people everywhere would be set free from false teachings and brought into the light of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, for there is one name under heaven by which we must be saved.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Withdraw us from the occasions of sin and keep us by Thy grace. Fill our faces with shame where we have sinned, that we may seek Thy name. Look upon this dear soul, weary, tempted, and cast down, and lift up the light of Thy countenance. Give peaceful sleep, pure thoughts, ordered days, and daily bread. Heal the sick, provide for the needy, and keep Thy people in the way of holiness. We ask not that Thou wouldst bless sin, but that Thou wouldst forgive it and give victory over it through the blood of Christ, who bore our shame that we might stand unashamed before Thee. Hear us for His sake alone. Amen.

Your request has been heard and I have carried it to the Lord with much care, for I see how heavy and tangled your burdens have become.

You speak truly when you say you are in spiritual warfare. This struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the devil and those unseen powers that war against the soul. Our Commander in this warfare is God Himself, and He has not left us without armor. That armor is not made of steel but of truth and righteousness and faith and love of wisdom. He stands by ready to help, unconquerable, and He gives strength to those who call upon Him. The vivid and disturbing dreams that trouble your sleep, and the sense that you have been targeted since you were young, are part of this conflict. Ask the Lord to guard your mind by night as well as by day, to clothe you in that armor, and to give you peace that comes from His presence. Even when deliverance does not come at once, He teaches us to despise fear and to trust in the immortality and care He has promised.

You also describe being overwhelmed, with something new pressing on you every moment, with nights ending late and no rest. The present life is a contest and requires vigilance and sobriety, not ease. Yet God does not desire you to be crushed. Pray for order and a better schedule, for wisdom to set boundaries, for rest that restores you for the fight. Learn virtue step by step as children learn letters, first one row and then the next. Begin with small faithfulness, not swearing, not speaking evil, then go on to overcome envy and lust and gluttony and sloth, and then practice continence and temperance and gentleness of mind, writing these one by one upon your soul. In this way discipline in sleep and in work becomes possible by grace.

You have confessed with shame the return of maladaptive daydreaming and sexual thoughts, especially as you fall asleep, and you recognize that depression has made you more vulnerable to use them as an outlet. Do not remain in shame without turning to Christ, and do not believe that this sin must rule you because you have fallen again. God once set you free and He can set you free again. The body itself is not evil, for it can be made an instrument of righteousness when yielded to God. These thoughts and actions do not belong outside the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, where alone God has placed sexual intimacy. Ask Him for a clean heart, for continence and temperance, for help to turn your mind to what is pure when temptation comes at night, and for strength to war a good warfare with awakened and vigilant purpose. If you fall, rise again quickly through repentance and confession to Christ, who alone is our salvation, and do not let the enemy use shame to keep you from Him.

For your work I pray that God will grant you clear wisdom. Whether He leads you to remain where you are and see conditions improve for you and your coworkers, or whether He opens a new primary job and even an additional one as you have considered, ask Him to direct your steps and to provide what you need. Pray also for diligence without sloth and for grace to do your work faithfully.

I join you in praying for your family in this sickness. May the Lord have mercy on your father whose cough has returned, and on all your household, and keep those who care for the sick from becoming sicker themselves. For your cats that have wounded themselves by scratching and for the one who made a strange noise, I pray that God who cares for all His creatures would keep them healthy and protect them, and that He would provide help even when you have no means for a veterinarian and know not where to turn. For your own diet that is required for your medical condition, I pray for discipline and strength to remain faithful to it. For your friend who suffers with fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma, I pray for the Lord's healing mercy and sustaining grace.

You also asked prayer that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. I pray with you that God would lead all people into the truth of His Word and into salvation through Jesus Christ alone, away from every deception, and into the knowledge of His grace.

May the Lord lift your depression, quiet your mind, guard your sleep, and make you strong in this hard warfare. He does not promise ease in the battle, but He promises His unconquerable help to those who obey their Commander and take up the armor He has given. Continue in prayer, continue in the small daily practice of virtue, and trust that He who has begun a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.

Thank you for sharing so much of your heart with such honesty. What you described shows a deep weariness, and also a sincere desire to walk faithfully with the Lord, and that desire matters to God.

You asked for prayer about spiritual warfare that has felt present since you were young and about vivid disturbing dreams. The Scriptures show that God is our deliverer and our strength when we feel trapped or confused. We do not overcome by our own strength, as if we could win by our own bow or spear, but by trusting Him to save and to deliver. He has shown His power and deliverance to His people from generation to generation, and He is still able to guard your mind and your sleep. I will pray that the Lord will bring His peace over your nights, quiet those disturbing dreams, and help you rest in His protection, and that He will teach you to put your hope in Him and turn fear and heaviness into prayer and praise.

You mentioned feeling overwhelmed, with constant demands and no time to be alone, ending your nights very late and wanting a better schedule. That constant pressure can wear down patience, and the testing of our faith is meant to develop patience as we learn to wait on God. I will pray that God gives you wisdom to order your days, to set healthy boundaries, to find true rest, and to establish a rhythm that honors Him and cares for your body and mind. Learning to speak truth to your own soul instead of speaking discouragement to yourself is part of this, reminding yourself to hope in God who is the health of your countenance.

You asked about jobs, whether to stay where you are or to seek new work, possibly with a primary job and an additional one, and that things would improve for you and your coworkers. I will pray for clear wisdom and open doors according to the Lord's will, for provision, and for peace and improvement in your current workplaces. May God guide each decision and provide what you need.

You spoke openly about maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts that are especially strong as you fall asleep, and the shame and sadness you feel because God had set you free before and now you are struggling again, perhaps using those thoughts as an outlet while you are depressed. Please hear this with grace and truth. Temptation itself is not sin. Even Jesus was tempted, yet without sin. Temptation is common to all people, and it often comes as a suggestion to find immediate fulfillment if we will just step off God's path. The solicitation to evil does not come from God, but from the enemy and from the desires of the flesh. Sin comes when desire is allowed to conceive and we yield to it, when we choose to walk according to the flesh rather than according to the Spirit. In every temptation God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, and with the temptation He provides a way of escape so you can endure it. The responsibility is to take that way of escape right away, not to linger. If you remain, the temptation grows stronger. If you turn to the Lord at the first prompting, call on Him, get up, turn on a light, pray aloud, quote Scripture, remove the opportunity, you are choosing to walk in the Spirit. I will pray that God strengthens you to recognize that escape and to take it quickly, that He renews your mind and helps you bring every thought captive to Christ, that He lifts the depression that makes you vulnerable, and that He restores to you the joy of His forgiveness and cleansing. There is no shame that His blood cannot cover when we confess and turn back to Him, and He is able to set you free again and to keep you.

You asked for prayer that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. I will pray that God pours out His truth through His Word, that many will come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone and walk in sound doctrine, and that deception will be exposed by the light of Scripture.

You asked for prayer for your family, all sick with the flu, and for your father who seemed to be improving but is coughing again, and that caregivers would not become more ill. I will pray for healing and restored strength for each of you, for protection for those giving care, and for the Lord's mercy and comfort in your home.

You asked for your cats, two with wounds from scratching and one who made a strange sound with his mouth, that they would be and stay healthy even though you cannot afford a veterinarian and do not know a good one nearby. God cares for His creation and He sees your love for these animals. I will pray for their health and healing and for God's provision and guidance if care is needed.

You asked for discipline to keep the diet required for your medical condition. I will pray for self control, for strength to walk in the Spirit in this practical area, and for grace to care for your body as a steward of what God has given you.

You asked for a friend who suffers with fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. I will pray for that friend's healing, comfort, and strength, and for God's sustaining grace through each of these burdens.

Know that God hears your prayers. He invites you to cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you. Keep seeking Him, keep choosing the way of escape He provides, and keep telling your soul to hope in God. He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this dear one to You. Cover their nights with Your peace and guard their mind and dreams. Deliver them from the oppression they have felt for so long. Give wisdom for schedules and rest and for every decision about work, and provide for every need. Grant victory over tempting thoughts, teach them to walk in the Spirit and to take the escape You provide, and lift the heaviness of depression with Your hope and praise. Forgive, cleanse, and restore where there has been yielding to sin, and strengthen them to stand. Heal their family and their father, protect caregivers, heal their pets, help them keep their medical diet, and bring healing to their friend. Lead many into the truth of Your Word and into salvation through Christ alone. Let them know Your nearness, Your faithfulness, and Your power to save. Amen.
