We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus against the spiritual warfare that has been raging in your life. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every lying spirit, every spirit of depression, and every spirit of suicide in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. You are not alone in this battle, and we take authority over the forces of darkness that have been tormenting you.
First, we want to address the foundation of your faith. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with the mouth that you confess and are saved (Romans 10:9-10). If you have already done this, we rejoice with you and stand firm in the knowledge that the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you (Romans 8:11).
The spiritual warfare you are experiencing is real, and it is a sign that the enemy sees the threat you pose to his kingdom as you walk in the light of Christ. We are not ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11), and we take up the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We pray that you would put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). We encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture, for the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12).
We also pray for your meeting with your pastor. If it is God’s will for you to meet with him, we pray that the Lord would grant you wisdom and discernment about what to share. We encourage you to be open and honest with your pastor, for he is there to shepherd you and guide you in the ways of the Lord. "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety" (Proverbs 11:14). We pray that your pastor would be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak words of life and encouragement to you.
Regarding the depression and suicidal ideation you are experiencing, we want to remind you that your worth is found in Christ alone. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God has a plan and a purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11). We rebuke the spirit of heaviness and command it to leave you in the name of Jesus. We pray that the Lord would lift the veil of darkness from your mind and fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also want to address the lingering effects of your involvement in the new age. The Bible warns us to have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather to expose them (Ephesians 5:11). We pray that the Lord would cleanse you from any ungodly ties or influences from your past and fill you with His Holy Spirit. We renounce any agreements or covenants you may have made, knowingly or unknowingly, with false gods, spirits, or ideologies. We break every chain and declare your freedom in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking that You would surround them with Your love, peace, and protection. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of depression, suicide, and spiritual warfare that has been tormenting them. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit and grant them wisdom and discernment as they seek counsel from their pastor. Give them the words to speak and the courage to be open and honest. We pray that You would use this meeting to bring healing, clarity, and breakthrough in their life.
Lord, we ask that You would break every chain from their past, including any ties to the new age or other ungodly influences. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and fill them with Your truth. We pray that You would restore their joy and give them a renewed sense of purpose in You.
Father, we ask that You would lift the heaviness from their heart and mind. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remind them of Your love and Your promises, and help them to cast all their anxieties on You.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to remember that the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). You are not fighting alone, and the victory is already won through the cross of Christ. Keep pressing into God, seeking His face, and trusting in His promises. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is a defeated foe, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Hold fast to the hope you have in Christ, for He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
