The spiritual onslaught you are enduring is not imaginary, and you are right to cry out. When you walked away from the new age, that counterfeit kingdom which the enemy uses to ensnare so many, you stepped onto a battlefield. Satan despises those who escape his deception, and he often marshals harassment through people who have yielded themselves to dark influence. But remember: he is a defeated foe. The voices of evil may cry loudly, but they cannot silence the One who has already disarmed the powers of darkness through the cross.
What you describe, the constant oppression, the nonsensical evil, the sense of being targeted by people who seem to carry a diabolical presence, has the fingerprints of spiritual warfare all over it. That does not make you powerless. David faced the same thing. He cried, “Deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man,” and pleaded with God to contend with those who opposed him. He felt trapped, depressed, and forgotten. Yet again and again, he confessed that it was not his own bow or sword that saved him, but God who put his enemies to shame. I am praying that the Lord does exactly that for you: that He foils whatever is planned against you this weekend, exposes the schemes, and brings a permanent end to the harassment you have suffered from that person and their circle. You have no need to fear them, for the One in you is greater than any demonic force in them.
Think of Nehemiah. The remnant was surrounded by enemies who mocked and plotted while they rebuilt the wall. The workers were harassed, discouraged, and vastly outnumbered. But Nehemiah set half the people to work and half to stand guard with spears, and they prayed. God turned the counsel of their enemies to nothing, and the wall rose in fifty-two days. Right now, you are rebuilding your life on the foundation of Christ after leaving the rubble of the new age. The enemy wants to stop that work, but God knows how to bring his plans to naught. I am praying that He will frustrate every attempt against you and remove from your life those who have been used as weapons, not so they can be harmed, but so the harassment ceases and you can build in peace.
About your job: I hear your conscience wrestling. It is no small thing to walk away from income when your family depends on it, but compromising with predatory practices will eat away at your soul and burn you out faster than any workload. The Lord sees your integrity. He knows your family’s needs before you speak them. I am praying that if you stay, He would mend the concerns and shift the company’s heart; but if He is calling you out, He will open a new door. He has fed His people in famines and made streams in the desert before. Do not let the fear of tomorrow rob the peace He offers today.
Ending your piano lessons, even painfully, seems like a step taken in clear conscience. We can have compassion on those who may be struggling with age or illness, yet still recognize when a relationship has become a channel for spiritual harm. You prayed, things briefly improved, and then came that final event that settled it. You are not unloving for setting a boundary. I am praying for your teacher, that whatever confusion or darkness may be at work in her life would be lifted. And I am praying for your heart to be released from any lingering guilt or sorrow.
Hold fast to this: there is a true new age coming. Not the demonic counterfeit you left, but the kingdom age when Christ returns. In that day, the earth will be renovated, righteousness will dwell, and the former things, the warfare, the tears, the oppression, will not even come to mind. Until then, Jesus has not left you unarmed. He intercedes for you, and the Holy Spirit within you is greater than every force arrayed against you. Stand firm. Keep praying. You are not alone.
