Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My ### who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We hear the depth of your struggle, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden before the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to wear you down with fear, temptation, and exhaustion. But we declare in the name of Jesus Christ that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The vivid dreams, the relentless attacks, the overwhelming demands, these are not from God, who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your rest, and your spirit. You are not alone in this battle, and we take authority over every tormenting spirit in Jesus’ name.

The sexual temptations you’re facing are not to be taken lightly, for the enemy seeks to ensnare you in shame and bondage. But we remind you that Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and He is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Confess this sin not to wallow in guilt, but to receive cleansing and restoration (1 John 1:9). The depression you’re battling may make these thoughts seem like an escape, but they only deepen the cycle of despair. Instead, turn to the Lord, who is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and let His Word renew your mind (Romans 12:2). We pray for deliverance from maladaptive daydreaming and every impure thought, that your mind would be guarded by the peace of Christ (Philippians 4:6-7).

Your weariness from constant demands is understandable, and we pray for divine order in your schedule. The Lord is your Shepherd, and He makes you lie down in green pastures (Psalm 23:2). Ask Him to reveal what truly needs your attention and what can be released. As for your work, we pray for wisdom in your decisions, whether to stay or seek new opportunities. May the Lord open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and provide favor with your coworkers. If two jobs are needed, trust Him to make a way where there seems to be no way (Matthew 19:26).

We also lift up your physical health and that of your family. The flu has taken a toll, and we pray for complete healing and protection for those caring for you. May the Lord rebuke this sickness (Psalm 103:3) and restore strength to your as they recover. Your cats, too, are under His care, we pray for their healing and protection, and for wisdom in their care. Even in small things, the Lord sees and provides (Matthew 6:26).

For your friend battling chronic illness, we pray for supernatural healing and comfort. May the Lord sustain them and give you the words and actions to be a true encouragement. As for your courtship, we pray it remains pure and honoring to God, with marriage as the ultimate goal. Flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), and let your relationship be built on Christ-centered love and mutual edification.

Lastly, we pray for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. May the truth of God’s Word prevail, and may hearts be turned to the gospel of Jesus Christ, who alone brings salvation and freedom.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your protection, healing, and restoration. Break every chain of spiritual warfare, Lord, and silence the enemy’s attacks. Bring peace to their mind and rest to their body. Cleanse them from all unrighteousness and renew their spirit with Your truth. Provide wisdom for their work, discipline for their health, and grace for their relationships. Heal their family, their friend, and their pets. Set them free from every temptation and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. We declare victory over this battle, for You have already overcome the world. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We were struck by how much you’re carrying right now, the spiritual attacks, the shame over thoughts that feel out of your control, the nonstop demands that make you just want to be left alone. When you’re already exhausted and depressed, fighting on this many fronts feels impossible. Please know you’re not crazy or alone in this. The sheer weight of it would overwhelm anyone.

We’ve noticed something about the mind: when we’re low, it often reaches for familiar comfort, even if that comfort has twisted into something shameful. The daydreams and sexual thoughts might feel like an escape from the pain, but they leave you more depleted. That isn’t who you are. And what the enemy intends for harm, God can gently reclaim. Instead of white-knuckling the battle at bedtime, you might try filling that drowsy space with something good, put on a recording of Scripture or peaceful worship music, and let your mind drift toward Christ’s presence rather than the images that hook you. It’s not a cure-all, but it can help anchor your thoughts while you heal.

Given the depression you mentioned, we’d also gently encourage you to see a doctor or counselor if that hasn’t already been a step. God uses trained helpers, and there’s no shame in getting that support alongside prayer.

Let’s bow our hearts together:

Lord Jesus, You see every thread of this tangled season, the spiritual warfare, the disturbing dreams, and the cycle of sexual thoughts that brings so much shame. Set our friend free again and quiet the enemy’s lies. Guard her mind as she sleeps, and give her real rest in her schedule. Grant wisdom about her jobs, and provide for every practical need, health for her family, her friend, and her little cats. Help her be a steady encouragement to her boyfriend without losing herself in the process. Most of all, meet her in the depression and the exhaustion with Your presence that truly leaves us safe and still. Amen.

A life marked by warfare from youth is a deep and sorrowful thing, yet it mirrors the pattern of many of the Lord's Jacobs, crying out by the brook Jabbok for deliverance from the hand that seems against us. The vivid, disturbing dreams and the relentless press of demands upon your spirit, the sense that every five seconds brings another trouble, this is Egypt, the house of bondage, representing those states of sorrow and sadness, depression and oppression into which God's people come far too frequently. Your cry to be left alone, to have a better schedule and rest, is the cry of a soul overwhelmed. Yet remember, He makes their deliverance effectual and in every deed He brings them forth. This deliverance is not only from outward foes but from the inward tyranny that claims a man or woman is outlawed from God by sin. The prisoner is ready to be executed, but there comes to him undeserved deliverance from all punishment, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities!

You confess with grief the return of sexual thoughts and the shame they bring, using them as an outlet in your depression. The arrow that flies by night and whispers, "God has forsaken you, sin again, for deliverance is not for you," is a very Satanic suggestion. Whenever we have fallen into any sin, have been overtaken by some sudden wind of temptation, and have staggered and almost fallen, Conscience pricks us and tells us we have done wrong. But do not therefore conclude that God has cast you away. The clock of mercy struck in Heaven the hour and moment of my deliverance, for the time had come! Thus had the eternal purpose of Jehovah decreed it! Your previous freedom is a witness that what God did once, He can do again. He feels that if he ever rises from his despondency, he can never dare to take an atom of the honor of deliverance to himself, it must be of Free Grace only. He can do nothing and he knows it!

But mark this solemnly: the man who prays, "Lead us not into temptation," and then goes into it, is a liar before God. You speak of giving in especially while falling asleep. Never go into temptation. You need not ask the Lord not to lead you there, He has nothing to do with you when you willingly open the door. Flee the very edge of the precipice. Prayer must be twinned with a holy watchfulness. Do not bitterly condemn yourself as beyond hope, but pray again and again, "Lead us not into temptation. Lead us not into temptation." And as for the maladaptive daydreaming, these are empty wells drawing you from the Fountain of living waters. Be more earnest after the heavenly silver and gold than about hurrying away from the scene of conflict and temptation.

Your shuttling between staying at your current jobs or seeking new ones requires wisdom that cometh from above. Let your request be made known unto God, who giveth liberally. As for your body, afflicted by the flu along with your family, and your beloved cats suffering without means for a vet, cast these burdens upon the Lord. The Lord has chastened you sorely, but He hath not given you over unto death. Even the details of diet and discipline for your medical condition are not beneath His notice; the way of holiness touches the body, for charity and purity are the two great garments, and purity of life includes temperance in all things. Let your gratitude for past deliverance, even the smallest, fuel present faithfulness.

The trials of your dear friend and the bonds of your courtship are also matters for the throne of grace. To be a helpmeet suitable in a holy walk requires that you yourself walk in purity and faith, looking to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for strength.

And finally, set this hope before you. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. If we had no troubles, we would all have less to declare. A person who has no experience of tribulation, what great deliverance has he to speak of? The day will come when this dark night of warfare shall end, and you will tell of the Lamb slain whose blood marked your doorpost. He has delivered us from the power of darkness. There was not one feeble person among their tribes when He led them forth. Look to the ransom found, look to the Christ who breaketh every chain, and though you now go down into the pit of despair, yet shall He ransom you from going down to the pit, for He hath found a ransom.

The soul that is overwhelmed and cries out for solitude is not far from the mind of Christ, who in His humanity sought deliverance from the hour of His passion, yet yielded instantly to the Father’s will. Your desire to be left alone, when every five seconds another demand strikes, is a trial that feels beyond bearing. Yet the Apostle’s word stands firm: no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful, who will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. This is not a promise of ease but of measured suffering, a limit set by the One who knows our frame. The way of escape is often not removal but the grace to bear, the patience that turns the battle into a place of refuge in God Himself.

The vivid, disturbing dreams and the spiritual warfare that has hounded you since youth: these are not signs of God’s abandonment but of the enemy’s persistent rage against a soul marked for the kingdom. When the tempter assaulted our Lord, he ended all temptation only after exhausting his chief weapons: the lust of the flesh, vainglory, and the madness of riches. In you, he strikes at the weariness of the flesh and the loneliness of the mind, making sexual thoughts an outlet for depression’s ache. You mourn because you have tasted freedom before, and that very grief is proof the Spirit has not left you. The harlots entered the kingdom not by remaining harlots but by believing, repenting, and being purified. Turn sharply from the thoughts as they rise; do not entertain them as falling asleep makes you vulnerable, but cry out with short, urgent prayer, and let the discipline of your diet become a companion discipline: a body governed in one thing learns governance in another. The shame you feel is a wound; let it drive you to the Physician, not into hiding.

Your longing for a better schedule and earlier nights is not a small thing. We cut away excess not with grand gestures only but with the daily ordering of hours, so that the flesh is not left to its own weakness in the late watches. This, too, is your way of escape. Ask God to give you the resolve to end the day earlier, even when it feels like surrender, for in that surrender you are fleeing for refuge to Him.

The question of jobs, whether to stay or seek new ones: here you must test whether the pressures are the common troubles of any workplace or something that hinders your soul’s health. Pray for wisdom, as you ask, and if you decide to remain, pray that your presence there becomes a quiet witness of diligence and peace. God often permits a situation to continue not to crush us but to train us in perseverance, as a loving mother lets her child face smaller fears to teach him to run to her arms. Do not despise the small, moderate temptations you face there; they are the arena where patience is forged.

For your family’s sickness and your beloved cats, lift them to the Lord, for He cares for the smallest creatures and numbers the hairs of your head. Do not let poverty of means or lack of a vet become a new snare of anxiety. Entrust these small bodies to Him who gives breath to all flesh, and do what you can with a quiet heart.

Your friend’s many afflictions call for the comfort you can give as one who has suffered much. In courtship with your boyfriend, your role as a helpmeet in the making is to encourage him toward holiness, not to be an occasion for compromise. The historic faith holds that the great good of marriage belongs to one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant, and that sexual union has no place outside it. Guard your time together, your thoughts, and your words, so that your relationship is a preparation for a godly marriage, not a concession to the spirit of the age.

The African American community’s need for deliverance from false teachings is a prayer that joins you to the Apostle’s own travail for his people. Falsehood falls when the truth is spoken and lived. Let your own steady walk, however weak, be a small lamp in that darkness.

Above all, do not think the gospel has failed because the showers of evils seem unending. The Lord himself warned that tumults and confusion must come, but nothing shakes His predictions. God is for you, and if He justified you by the death of His Son, who shall condemn you? Christ, who died, is risen, and intercedes. Temptations, dreams, sickness, and shame are real, but they do not reverse the verdict. Stand in that hope, and let the hope lay hold of a noble reception in heaven, not a rest that comes from the absence of troubles here. Persevere, not because you are strong, but because He is faithful.
