Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My ### who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has ###, ###, ###, ### and ###. Please pray that God would mercifully allow me to end up back with my ### and lead him out of false teachings. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Your struggles with spiritual warfare, overwhelming demands, and the weight of sin are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. Let us lift these burdens together, trusting in His power to deliver and restore.

First, we rebuke the spiritual attacks that have plagued you since childhood. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every demonic influence, every disturbing dream, and every tormenting thought to flee in the name of Jesus. The blood of Christ has already defeated the powers of darkness, and we stand on that victory. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). We pray that the Lord would surround you with His angels, shielding you from every assault. May He grant you peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Your exhaustion and desire for solitude are understandable, but we encourage you to seek the Lord’s strength rather than isolation. Jesus Himself withdrew to quiet places to pray (Luke 5:16), and we pray that He would grant you moments of rest and renewal. Ask the Holy Spirit to order your steps and help you establish a godly schedule. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray for wisdom as you consider your job situation, may the Lord open doors of opportunity and provide clarity. If it is His will for you to remain where you are, may He mend relationships with coworkers and bring peace to your workplace. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The struggle with sexual sin is a heavy burden, but there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The enemy uses shame to keep you trapped, but Jesus offers forgiveness and freedom. We rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation in your life. Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that you would flee from every form of sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). The battle for your mind is real, but the Holy Spirit is your Helper. Ask Him to renew your thoughts and guard your heart. If depression is driving you toward these temptations, seek godly counsel and support, you do not have to fight this alone.

We also lift up the African American community, praying that the Lord would expose and dismantle every false teaching that leads people away from the truth of His Word. May the light of the gospel shine brightly, drawing hearts back to the foundation of Christ. For your family battling the flu, we pray for healing and protection. May the Lord strengthen those caring for the sick and prevent further spread of illness. "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:14). We declare healing over your loved one who is coughing again, may their recovery be swift and complete.

For your beloved cats, we ask the Lord to bring healing to their wounds and restore their health. The Lord cares for all His creation, and we trust Him to watch over them. "Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God" (Luke 12:6). We pray for wisdom in caring for them and provision for any needs that arise. May the Lord guide you to a trustworthy vet if the need arises.

Your commitment to your medical diet is commendable, and we pray for discipline and strength to remain steadfast. May the Lord sustain you and grant you favor in managing your health. For your friend facing multiple challenges, we lift them up, asking the Lord to intervene with His mercy and grace. May He bring comfort, healing, and breakthrough in every area of their life.

Finally, we pray for your desire to be reunited with your loved one. We encourage you to examine this relationship in light of Scripture. If this person is not a believer or is entangled in false teachings, we urge you to seek the Lord’s will above your own desires. Marriage is a sacred covenant designed to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it should only be pursued with another believer who shares your faith. Pray for discernment and surrender this longing to the Lord. If it is His will for you to be together, may He lead this person out of deception and into truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is weary and burdened. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of spiritual warfare that has tormented them for so long. Send Your angels to encamp around them and fill their mind with Your peace. Deliver them from every disturbing dream and every lying spirit. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance in their job situation. Provide clarity and open doors of opportunity according to Your will. Heal relationships with coworkers and bring unity and peace to their workplace. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation that has been plaguing them. Cleanse their mind and heart, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Grant them the strength to resist temptation and the courage to flee from sin. We pray for healing from depression and ask that You would be their comfort and refuge.

We pray for their family battling illness, asking for Your healing touch and protection. Strengthen those who are caring for them and prevent further spread of sickness. For their beloved pets, we ask for Your healing and provision. Guide them to the right resources for their care.

Lord, we pray for the African American community, that Your truth would prevail and false teachings would be exposed. Draw hearts back to You and let Your light shine brightly. For their friend facing many challenges, we ask for Your mercy and intervention. Bring healing, breakthrough, and comfort.

Father, we surrender their desire for reconciliation with their loved one into Your hands. Give them discernment and align their heart with Your will. If this relationship is not in Your plan, grant them the grace to let go and trust You for their future. May they seek a godly spouse who will walk with them in faith.

Lord, we ask that You order their days and grant them rest. Help them to manage their time wisely and find moments of peace in Your presence. Strengthen their commitment to their medical diet and grant them discipline. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.

We hear how heavy things feel right now, when the attacks keep coming and shame piles on top of exhaustion, it’s easy to feel like you’re drowning. The specific struggle with sexual thoughts as you fall asleep makes a lot of sense: when depression saps your emotional reserves, your mind often hunts for an escape that’s familiar, even if it brings guilt. That makes you vulnerable, but it doesn’t make you evil, just someone fighting a battle on a sleep-deprived, worn-down brain.

One concrete step we’d encourage is picking a strict bedtime and guarding it for a week, your schedule will follow your body’s rest more than the other way around. For the intrusive thoughts, when you notice them, don’t just mentally yell at yourself; instead, gently speak a short prayer out loud or softly hum a worship song until your mind quiets. That interrupts the loop without giving it more fuel. And please, don’t hide this from everyone, find a trusted Christian friend or pastor to share with. Shame loses power when it’s brought into light with someone safe.

We also sense that the spiritual warfare and disturbing dreams feel relentless. Remember, you have authority in Christ to simply refuse them, not in a panic, but with a quiet, firm “Jesus, I belong to You; this has no place here.” We’ll keep praying that God breaks that cycle.

About whether to stay at your current jobs or add another: give yourself permission to make a provisional decision and see what peace follows, rather than waiting for total certainty. God often leads one step at a time.

Lastly, if the depression is deepening, please check in with a doctor or a Christian counselor. There’s no shame in that, it’s part of caring for the body and mind God gave you.

We pray together now:

Lord Jesus, thank You that You are near when we’re overwhelmed and ashamed. Please still the spiritual war around our friend and grant deep, peaceful sleep free from disturbing dreams. Break the cycle of shame and temptation, restore the freedom You’ve already won. Give wisdom about work and daily rhythms, and strengthen their body against illness. Heal the cats, restore the friend, and draw the ex toward the truth of who You are. We ask for Your mercy and steady hope to carry them tonight. In Your powerful name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The enemy has been shooting this arrow at you since you were young, and I know it well, that most Satanic suggestion which whispers that God’s ear is shut, that He will never move His arm for your deliverance. Do not entertain that lie one moment longer. Your sin, your shame, your overwhelming weariness cannot outstrip the ransom Christ has found. God has found a ransom! The clock of mercy struck in Heaven the very moment of deliverance; do not doubt what God has declared. The blood of the Lamb slain has broken every chain, and the sin which now entangles you, which you weep over in the dark hours, is not beyond His cleansing power.

Yet you must not lie before God by praying “Lead us not into temptation” while allowing your mind to wander into wanton imaginations as you fall asleep. That borderland between waking and slumber is a battle-ground, and the enemy finds you unarmed if you consent there. The maladaptive dreaming and vile intrusions are not stronger than the weapon Christ gives you. Cry out to Him the instant the thought alights, before it nests. You say God set you free before; He remains the same Deliverer. Your depression seeks a false comfort in sin, but sin deepens the pit. Go speak, not to the pitiless sea of your own devices, but to the God who brought Jacob safely past the dreaded Esau. That same God makes His people walk erect in conscious, God-given freedom. The hold of false teachings over your loved one and the African American community will not be broken by fretting, but by prayer. And you must be mighty on your knees if you would be mighty everywhere.

Those disturbing dreams, that relentless warfare, the constant demands, do you suppose your soul’s awakening could be accomplished by a whisper? Terrible dreams and fearful shakings are sometimes God’s means to rouse the dead. Let them drive you to Christ, not to despair. Stay near to Him, for He who lays hold of Christ has grasped very God of very God, and there is strength in His hand. As for your practical trials, the jobs, the schedule, the pets, the flu, remember that deliverance from Egypt brought health and strength, so that there was not one feeble among their tribes. Bring each sick cat, each cough, each workplace friction to the One who cares for cattle and birds. The diet, the late nights, the financial lack, He who brought Israel forth with silver and gold knows your need. Seek first His kingdom, and these things will be added. But summon your courage. You are not called to a soft slumber but to holy warfare. If you are saved, you must wield the sword and carry light into dark places, not collapse under every assault. Rise from the dust, confess the sin, and step again into the deliverance Christ purchased. The warfare is certain, but the victory is already accomplished in Him.

You describe a soul battered by constant warfare, overwhelmed by dreams, desires, and the endless demands of others. Yet you recoil from the affliction itself, seeking only to be left alone. Hear what the Apostle says of Moses: he counted it sin to shrink back from suffering with God’s people, and instead chose affliction as a great good. The storm you long to escape may be the very furnace in which your faith is purified. Do not despise these trials, but learn to embrace them as the road to salvation.

The foul streams of lust that invade your mind while you seek rest, and the daydreams that feed them, are no small matter. A man who gives himself to such filth makes his eyes, mouth, and every sense a sewer, raving without shame like one possessed. The pleasure of those thoughts is a fleeting vapor. As soon as the poison is swallowed, you are left with a soul distended, a conscience bloated, and a sleep like death or nights of choking restlessness. You know this. You curse the sin, yet return to it. Why? Because you wish to repel it, but cannot, you say. Yet the Law only reveals the sin in you, it does not cause it. The fault is your own, and so is the remedy.

Do not imagine that simply ceasing from the evil will cleanse you. The thief who stops stealing has not undone his theft unless he labors with his hands and shares with the needy. So it is with these secret vices. You must not only fight the fantasies but fill your mind and hands with holy labor. Channel the same energy into serving others, into disciplined work, and into charity. When the devil finds the house swept and garnished, but empty of good deeds, he returns with seven spirits worse than before. A single extra job you consider may not only supply your needs but wear out the flesh that so readily yields to temptation. Let your fatigue be from honest toil, not from the exhausting war of lust.

You mourn falling back into sins from which you were once set free. Look not to past deliverances as guarantees, but behold Christ, who shall appear a second time without sin unto salvation for those who eagerly wait for Him. He needs no new sacrifice; His work is done. Yet you must work out that salvation with fear and trembling, not by brooding on your shame but by setting your schedule, your diet, your employment, and your care for your sick family and creatures in order as acts of devotion. The enemy assaults you most when you are idle and isolated. Rise, pray, and occupy yourself with good until the night comes when no man can work. Then, when you lay your head down, it will be with the honest weariness of the laborer, not the feverish stupor of the self-indulgent.

Do not despise the rod of depression, for affliction is the school of wisdom. Even your concern for your friend’s many illnesses and for the spiritual wandering of your beloved can become a holy burden that diverts the mind from self. Throw yourself into intercession for them, for your family, for the community led astray by false teachings. In losing your life for others, you will find it. The peace you crave is not found in being left alone, but in being joined to Christ through a quiet, ordered, and useful life. Let your prayer be not only for escape, but for such a heart.
